Getting a Tyre Changed in London Without Moving the Car
In London, the hard part of a flat tyre is often not the tyre. It's finding somewhere to deal with it. Kerbside space is scarce, many roads are red routes or permit-only, and plenty of people keep their car in an underground car park or on a street they share with a bus lane. Driving across town on a flat to reach a tyre centre is out of the question, and most Londoners would rather not spend half a day in traffic anyway.
So we bring the tyre to you. Our mobile fitters work across the capital, from Camden and Islington to Wandsworth, Lewisham and Ealing, and on the big roads that hold it together: the A406 North Circular, the A205 South Circular, the A40, the A13 and the M25 around the edge. We're available 24/7 and aim to reach you within 60 minutes in most cases, although London traffic can make that vary from one part of the city to another.
A Call-Out in the Capital, Step by Step
- Tell us where the car is and how to get to it. The street and postcode, plus anything about access: a car park level, a barrier, a residents' bay.
- The nearest free fitter is sent. Our network includes more than 100 mobile fitters across England and Wales, so a job in the capital goes to someone already nearby.
- The tyre is fitted or repaired in place. Balancing is included at no charge, we take the old tyre away free, and every new tyre carries the manufacturer's guarantee.
Once you're happy, pay by card, cash or bank transfer. We don't add hidden fees.
Services Available Across the Capital
- Mobile tyre fitting: budget, mid-range or premium tyres for cars and light commercials, fitted at home, at the office or wherever the vehicle can safely be worked on.
- Puncture repair: City roads throw up a steady supply of screws and glass; if the damage meets British Standard repair limits, we'll fix it.
- Van tyres: for couriers, trades and fleet vans that spend all day on these streets and can't wait for a garage slot.
- Breakdown recovery: for damaged wheels or cars stuck somewhere it isn't safe to work, such as a live lane on a main road.
Where We Work in London
We work right across London, north and south of the river, from the centre to the outer suburbs near the M25. Many areas have their own page with more detail, including Ealing, Greenwich, Brixton and Tottenham.
Wherever you are in Greater London, the process is the same: call, tell us where you are, and a fitter comes to the car.
Red Routes, Car Parks and Permits: Tell Us Before We Arrive
Most call-outs in the city go smoothly. The ones that don't usually have the same cause: the fitter arrives and can't reach the car, or can't safely stop near it. A few details when you call make a big difference.
- Red routes and bus lanes: stopping is restricted, so if you can move the car a short distance to a side street safely, it helps. Don't drive far on a flat.
- Underground and multi-storey car parks: let us know the level, any height barrier and whether you'll need to let the fitter in.
- Residents' parking: tell us if the fitter will need to stop in a permit bay while working.
- Wheel lock key: many newer cars have locking wheel nuts. Find the key before the fitter turns up.
If the car is somewhere unsafe, such as a live lane with no pull-in, put your hazards on, get everyone out to a safe spot and tell us; we may need to recover the car rather than work on it there.
