Busy Streets, Tight Parking and the Hanger Lane Gyratory
Driving in Ealing is mostly short hops on crowded roads. The Uxbridge Road carries buses and traffic through Ealing Broadway and West Ealing, the A40 Western Avenue cuts across the north, and the North Circular comes down Hanger Lane to meet it at the gyratory. Off those main routes, residential streets are lined with parked cars on both sides, and finding a space often means squeezing in close to the kerb.
That makes taking a damaged car to a tyre shop a chore in itself, and coming back to find your space gone makes it worse. Instead, we bring the tyre to you. A mobile fitter parks up near your car and replaces or repairs the tyre right there on the street, at your workplace or in a car park. We are available around the clock, all week, and aim to be with you within 60 minutes in most cases. West London traffic can add time, so we will keep you posted.
Why People in Ealing Choose a Fitter Who Comes to Them
Without a driveway, a flat tyre can leave you stuck outside your own house, unable to move the car and short of time to deal with it. A mobile fitting avoids all of that:
- No driving on a soft tyre through stop-start traffic, which risks damaging the wheel.
- No losing your parking space to queue at a workshop.
- Balancing done on site and your old tyre disposed of, both free of charge.
- A new tyre backed by the manufacturer's guarantee, and payment by card, cash or bank transfer.
The work is carried out by the nearest available fitter from our 100+ strong network across England and Wales, each with many years of hands-on experience.
How We Can Help Motorists in W5 and W13
- Mobile tyre fitting: new tyres for city cars, SUVs and everything between, fitted outside your home at a time that suits you.
- Puncture repair: a small hole in the middle of the tread can normally be fixed. Damage on the sidewall, the kind kerbs often cause, means a new tyre for safety.
- Van tyres: delivery and trade vans working the busy roads of west London get the same service, so the day's drops are not lost.
- Breakdown recovery: for when a car cannot be safely worked on where it stopped, such as a live lane on the A40.
Ealing Districts and the Roads Around Them
We cover Ealing Broadway, West Ealing, South Ealing, North Ealing, Ealing Common, Pitshanger, Hanger Hill and Northfields, with Hanwell and Acton on either side. Our fitters also attend breakdowns on the Uxbridge Road, the A40 and the A406 around Hanger Lane.
Neighbouring areas with their own pages include Greenford, Southall and Wembley.
Parallel Parking Tip: Spare Your Sidewalls
Scraping a kerb while reversing into a tight space is one of the most common causes of tyre damage in built-up areas. The sidewall is much thinner than the tread, and a hard knock can break the cords inside it, leaving a bulge that may not appear until a day or two later.
Tilt your passenger mirror down when reversing so you can see the kerb, and approach at a shallow angle rather than swinging in. Every so often, crouch down and look along the outer wall of each tyre. A bulge, a deep cut or a scuff that shows threads means the tyre should be replaced, as it cannot be repaired and could fail without warning.
