Hanwell Tyre Fitting, Along the Uxbridge Road and Beyond
Hanwell is a residential corner of west London, wedged between the River Brent and the Grand Union Canal on one side and West Ealing on the other. The Uxbridge Road, the A4020, runs through the middle, passing Hanwell Broadway on its way from Ealing towards Southall, and most of the rest is streets of houses running north towards Greenford and south towards Boston Manor.
Much of the driving here is short local trips: the school run, the shops on the Broadway, a run up to the A40 or down towards Brentford. A lot of cars live on the street, and on narrow residential roads a flat often means you can't even get the boot open easily to reach the spare. Instead of struggling with it, you can have a mobile fitter come to the car and do the job properly at the kerb.
We cover Hanwell around the clock, and we aim to reach you within 60 minutes in most cases, depending on where the car is and how busy the Uxbridge Road is.
What Happens After You Get in Touch
Tell us your street and what's wrong with the tyre. If you can, read the size off the sidewall (it looks something like 195/65 R15) so we can check the right tyre is on the van. We then send the nearest free fitter from our network of more than 100 across England and Wales.
At the car, the fitter decides whether a repair is safe. If the puncture is in the central part of the tread and small enough, it's repaired; if not, a new tyre goes on. Balancing and taking away the old tyre are included at no charge, and all new tyres have the manufacturer's guarantee. Pay by card, cash or bank transfer, and expect no hidden fees.
What We Offer Hanwell Drivers
- Mobile tyre fitting: budget, mid-range or premium tyres fitted outside your house or wherever you've parked.
- Puncture repair: often all that is needed when a nail or screw has gone into the tread in a spot that can safely be repaired.
- Van tyres: for local trades and delivery vans, fitted on the street so the working day isn't lost.
- Breakdown recovery: when a wheel is buckled or the car can't be fixed where it's stopped.
Hanwell and the Neighbouring Parts of West London
We cover the whole of Hanwell, from the Broadway and the Uxbridge Road to the streets by Elthorne Park, Cuckoo Park and Brent Valley Park, the roads along the canal near the Hanwell flight of locks, and down to Boston Manor. Hanwell is part of the borough of Ealing, and our fitters work throughout it.
Just over the boundaries, we also cover Brentford to the south, West Ealing to the east, and the neighbouring towns of Southall across the River Brent and Greenford to the north.
When the Tyre Pressure Warning Light Comes On
Most cars built in the last decade or so have a tyre pressure monitoring system, and the little amber symbol (a tyre cross-section with an exclamation mark) is easy to ignore on a short trip across Hanwell. It shouldn't be. The light means at least one tyre has lost a noticeable amount of air, often from a slow puncture.
When it comes on, slow down, find a safe place to stop and look at all four tyres. If one is visibly flat, don't drive on it; call us. If they all look fine, check the pressures with a gauge as soon as you can and inflate them to the figures in the handbook. If the light comes back within a day or two, one tyre is leaking and needs looking at. Some systems also need resetting after you've adjusted the pressures; the handbook explains how.
