E17 Tyres Changed Where the Car Is Parked
Walthamstow is a town of long Victorian terraces, with Hoe Street (the A112) running north to south through the middle and the A406 North Circular skirting its northern edge. Lots of journeys start on a residential side road, join Hoe Street or Blackhorse Road, and end up on the North Circular within a few minutes. Flats happen at every stage of that, and very few of them happen somewhere convenient.
Rather than nursing the car to a garage, you can have one of our mobile fitters come to you. We operate 24/7 and, in most cases, aim to arrive within 60 minutes, depending on your location and the traffic.
Most cars in E17 are parked nose to tail on the street, often with permit bays on one side and a narrow gap for passing traffic on the other. Our fitters are used to working in that space. If there is room to jack the car and reach the wheel safely, the job can normally be done without moving it at all, which saves a damaged tyre from being driven any further.
What Calling Us Out Involves
You ring or message, tell us where the car is and describe the damage. We pass the job to the nearest available fitter from our network of over 100 across England and Wales, so the van coming to you is normally already working in east London.
The fitter either repairs the puncture or fits a new tyre at the roadside, on your driveway or in a car park. Wheel balancing and taking the old tyre away are free with every fitting. You can pay by cash, card or bank transfer, and there are no hidden fees.
Services for Walthamstow Motorists and Traders
- Mobile tyre fitting: new tyres in budget, mid-range and premium ranges, fitted outside your house near Walthamstow Central or at your work. Each one has the manufacturer's guarantee.
- Puncture repair: where the hole is under 6 mm and inside the central tread area, a proper repair is often possible.
- Van tyres: for the many delivery drivers and trades vans using the A1006 and the streets around Blackhorse Lane. Van tyres need the correct load rating, so have the sidewall markings to hand.
- Breakdown recovery: when a car has stopped on the North Circular or a busy junction and can't be worked on where it is.
Higham Hill, Blackhorse Road and Neighbouring Areas
We reach drivers across Walthamstow, including the streets around Walthamstow Central, Higham Hill, the Blackhorse Road and Blackhorse Lane area, St James's Street and Markhouse Road, and up the A112 towards the North Circular.
Walthamstow belongs to our London coverage. We also cover neighbouring Leyton to the south, Chingford to the north and Tottenham across the Lea Valley to the west.
Driving on a Space-Saver? Keep It Short
If your car has a thin space-saver spare and you've already fitted it, treat it as a way to get somewhere safe, not a replacement tyre. Most carry a speed limit of 50mph, printed on a sticker or on the wheel itself. That is well below the pace of traffic on parts of the North Circular, and a slow car in a fast lane is a hazard in itself.
Space-savers also grip less, especially in the wet, and the car can feel different under braking and in corners. Check the spare's pressure, which is often much higher than a normal tyre's, before relying on it. Then get the proper tyre sorted quickly: we can fit a new one wherever you've parked, and put the space-saver back in the boot.
