Stuck on the Catford Gyratory? We'll Come to You
Catford is built around one of south London's busiest crossings. The South Circular (A205) meets the A21 at the Catford gyratory, then heads off along Catford Road towards Forest Hill, while the A21 carries on south down Bromley Road and up Bromley Hill. Rushey Green, the stretch of the A21 through the middle of town, is lined with shops, bus stops and loading bays, so space at the kerb is always in demand.
A flat in the middle of all that is stressful. Rather than trying to nurse the car to a garage, call us and a mobile fitter will come out to wherever you've stopped, or to your home once you've got the car off the main road. We work day and night, all week, and aim to reach Catford drivers within 60 minutes in most cases.
Most of our SE6 call-outs are calmer than that, though: a tyre that has gone soft overnight on a terraced street, or a warning light that came on during the school run. Those can be dealt with outside your front door.
If you're on a permit street, the fitter works alongside the car where it's parked, so you don't lose your space. On narrow roads where both sides are parked up, it helps to warn us in advance: the fitter can plan where to stop the van without blocking the road for longer than necessary.
What You Get With a Mobile Fitter in SE6
- Someone close by. We have a network of 100+ mobile fitters across England and Wales, so the job goes to someone near Catford.
- Repair first, where it's safe. If the puncture is small and in the central part of the tread, it gets repaired; otherwise a new tyre goes on.
- No extras for the basics. Wheel balancing and getting rid of the old tyre are both free, and new tyres carry the manufacturer's guarantee.
- Pay on completion. Card, cash or bank transfer, at a competitive price with no hidden fees.

That Orange Tyre Warning Light: What to Do
Most cars built in the last decade or so have a tyre pressure monitoring system, which lights an orange symbol on the dash, shaped like a horseshoe with an exclamation mark, when one tyre loses pressure. It's easy to ignore on a short trip round Catford, but it's often the first sign of a slow puncture.
When it comes on, slow down and check the tyres at the next safe stop. If one looks visibly flat, don't drive further on it. If they all look normal, check the pressures with a gauge against the figures in the handbook or door sticker and top up. Should the light return within a day or two, a tyre is leaking and needs looking at. Cold mornings can trigger the light too, so a single warning after a frosty night isn't always a puncture.
