A Tyre Fitter for Streatham's Long High Road
Streatham High Road is part of the A23, the main road from London to Brighton, and it runs for nearly two miles from Streatham Hill station down to Norbury. Buses, bus lanes and loading bays line much of it. The South Circular passes to the north, and the residential roads either side of the High Road, around Streatham Hill, Streatham Common and Streatham Park, are where most local cars are kept.
If you get a flat on the High Road or find one outside your house, we'll come to you. One of our fitters will arrive with the tyre and equipment and carry out the repair or replacement beside the car, whether it's on a street near Streatham Common or in a car park behind a block of flats.
We cover the area 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and aim to reach you within 60 minutes in most cases, subject to traffic and where you are.
Why SW16 Drivers Have Us Come to Them
A car with a flat tyre on the A23 is a hazard to you and everyone else, and changing a wheel next to passing buses is no fun. With a mobile fitter you get:
- The closest available fitter from our network of over 100 across England and Wales.
- Work done where the car is, provided it's safe to reach the wheel.
- A balanced tyre and the old one taken away, both free.
- The manufacturer's guarantee on new tyres.
- Card, cash or bank transfer accepted, and no hidden fees.
If the car has stopped in a bus lane or loading bay, move it to a side road if you can do so safely before the fitter arrives.
Streatham Tyre Services
- Mobile tyre fitting: budget, mid-range or premium tyres fitted on your road or at work, with no trip down the A23.
- Puncture repair: when the damage is small and in the central tread, we repair it rather than replace a tyre with plenty of life left.
- Van tyres: tyres for vans and light commercials making deliveries up and down the High Road and into the side streets.
- Breakdown recovery: for a car that can't be repaired at the kerb or has been left somewhere unsafe.
Streatham Hill to Streatham Vale, Norbury and Tooting
Across Streatham we cover Streatham Hill, the streets around Streatham Common, Streatham Park between the Common and Tooting Bec Common, and Streatham Vale. That includes the A23, the A214 along Streatham Common North and Leigham Court Road. Streatham is one of the many districts in our London coverage.
Our fitters also go to Norbury, Tooting, Balham, West Norwood and Thornton Heath, as well as Brixton, Clapham, Mitcham and Croydon.
Tyre Sealant Kits: Useful, but Tell the Fitter
Many newer cars come with a can of sealant and a small compressor instead of a spare wheel. The kit squirts liquid into the tyre to plug a small hole so you can drive slowly to get it sorted. It works for minor tread punctures, but it won't fix a cut, a sidewall split or a tyre that has come off the rim.
If you've used one, keep to the speed limit on the sticker that comes with the kit, and let us know when you call. The sealant has to be cleaned out before a repair can be considered, and in some cases it means the tyre has to be replaced. Check the kit's expiry date as well; the sealant doesn't last for ever, and an out-of-date can may not work when you need it.
