Mobile Tyre Help for Croydon's Busy Roads
Croydon is one of London's biggest boroughs and it drives like one. The A23 carries traffic north to central London and south towards Purley and the M25, Purley Way is lined with retail parks, and the A232 cuts east to west below the town centre. Add the stop-start school runs in Shirley and the steep roads climbing to Selsdon and Sanderstead, and tyres here work hard.
When one gives up, you don't have to find a garage that can fit you in. We send a mobile fitter to wherever the car is: a retail park, a multi-storey in the centre, a side road in Norbury or your own drive. We work 24/7, and we aim to get to you within 60 minutes in most cases, although south London traffic has the final say.
How Our Croydon Call-Outs Work
Getting a tyre sorted shouldn't involve a morning in a waiting room. The process is short:
- Get in touch by phone, WhatsApp or the contact form, with your location and the tyre size if you have it.
- We find the closest fitter. With over 100 mobile fitters in our network across England and Wales, there's usually one working nearby in south London or Surrey.
- The tyre is dealt with on site. We repair it if that's safe, or fit a new one with free balancing and free removal of the old tyre.
New tyres carry the manufacturer's guarantee. Payment is by card, cash or bank transfer, and there are no hidden fees.
Tyre Services We Bring to Croydon
- Mobile tyre fitting: premium, mid-range and budget tyres for most cars, including the larger wheel sizes common on newer SUVs.
- Puncture repair: a clean puncture within the central three-quarters of the tread and under 6mm can usually be repaired at the kerb.
- Van tyres: for the many delivery and trade vans working the industrial estates and retail parks around Purley Way.
- Breakdown recovery: when the car isn't safe to work on where it's stopped, for instance on the A23 at rush hour, or the wheel itself is damaged.
Croydon Areas We Reach
Our fitters cover central Croydon, Addiscombe, Shirley, Waddon, South Croydon, Thornton Heath, Norbury, South Norwood, Selsdon, Sanderstead, New Addington, Purley and Coulsdon. On the main roads, that includes the A23 and Purley Way, the A232, the A212 and the A22.
Close by, we also work in Sutton and Mitcham to the west, and Epsom a little further out into Surrey.
It doesn't matter whether you live in the borough or are just passing through on the way to Gatwick or the coast. If the car is somewhere in or around Croydon, a fitter can come to it.
No Spare Wheel? What to Know About Run-Flats
Plenty of newer cars on Croydon's roads leave the factory without a spare. Some have a sealant kit in the boot, others run on run-flat tyres, which have stiff sidewalls that hold the car up for a limited distance after a puncture. Both are useful in an emergency, but neither is a permanent fix.
If your dashboard shows a pressure warning on run-flats, keep your speed down and check the handbook for how far you can go, usually not far. Sealant can make a tyre unrepairable afterwards, so if you can stop safely, it's often better to call a fitter first. Not every tyre size is carried as standard, so tell us if your car uses run-flats when you ring, and we'll make sure the fitter brings the right type.
