A Mobile Tyre Service Built for Liverpool
Liverpool is a working city, and a lot of its traffic is commercial. The A5036 carries freight along the waterfront to the docks, the M62 starts on the east side of the city and heads for Manchester, and the M57 and M58 link the outer suburbs with the rest of the North West. Then there are the terraced streets of Anfield, Walton and Kirkdale, where cars and vans line both kerbs, and the two Mersey tunnels taking commuters across to the Wirral.
Whether you drive a family car or a loaded van, a flat tyre stops you dead. Instead of finding a garage, you can have a mobile fitter come to you with the right tyre, at any time of the day or night. In most cases we aim to arrive within 60 minutes, depending on where you are in the city and the traffic.
How a Liverpool Call-Out Runs
- You contact us with your location and, ideally, the tyre size off the sidewall. For vans, the load index printed after the size is worth reading out too.
- We allocate the closest fitter from more than 100 mobile fitters across England and Wales.
- The tyre is repaired or replaced where the vehicle is, with balancing included at no charge and the old tyre removed for free.
- You pay at the end by card, cash or bank transfer. There are no hidden fees, and new tyres carry the manufacturer's guarantee.
Services Across the City
- Van tyres: for couriers, trades and haulage support vehicles working the docks and the industrial estates, fitted at the yard or the job.
- Mobile tyre fitting: car tyres in budget, mid-range and premium ranges, fitted outside your home in the suburbs or at work in the city centre.
- Puncture repair: a nail or screw in the central part of the tread, under 6mm across, can normally be repaired rather than replaced.
- Breakdown recovery: when a vehicle can't be worked on safely where it's stopped, or a wheel has been damaged too badly to refit.
Liverpool Districts and Routes We Cover
North of the centre we cover Everton, Anfield, Walton, Kirkdale and West Derby. To the south, our fitters work in Toxteth, Wavertree, Aigburth, Allerton, Childwall, Woolton, Garston and Speke. Main roads include the M62, M57 and M58, the A5036 along the docks, the A580 East Lancashire Road and the A59.
Travelling further? We also have a page for Manchester at the other end of the M62, and for Conwy if you're heading along the North Wales coast.
Van Drivers: Load and Tyre Pressure Go Together
A van that spends the day carrying stock or tools puts far more weight on its tyres than the same van empty. Run it heavily loaded on pressures set for light use and the tyre sidewalls flex more, heat up and wear unevenly, which is a common cause of van tyre failures.
Your handbook or the plate on the door pillar usually gives two sets of pressures, one for normal loads and one for full loads. Use the higher figures when you're carrying weight. When replacing tyres, match the load index and speed rating on the sidewall, and look for the "C" marking that shows a commercial-grade tyre. Putting a car tyre on a van to save a little money is a false economy and can be unsafe once the van is loaded.
It's also worth checking van tyres more often than you would a car's. Kerbing on narrow terraced streets, debris around building sites and long days in stop-start traffic all take their toll. A quick look at the tread and sidewalls each morning, before the first job, catches most problems before they leave you stuck.
