Mobile Tyre Fitters on Manchester's Streets
Driving in Manchester tends to mean one of two things: crawling through the city centre between the Mancunian Way and the inner streets, or getting out to the M60 ring road as fast as possible. Add the A56 and the A6 heading out of town, Princess Parkway running south to the M56, and a lot of terraced streets where parking is tight, and there are plenty of ways for a tyre to come to grief.
If it happens to you, there's no need to drag the car across the city to a tyre centre. A mobile fitter can come out to your street in Levenshulme, a multi-storey in the centre, an apartment car park in Ancoats or the hard shoulder of the M60.
We take calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and in most cases aim to get someone to you in around an hour. Match days, roadworks and the rush hour can all add time.
What You Get When You Call Us in Manchester
- A fitter sent from nearby. We have a network of over 100 mobile tyre fitters across England and Wales and pick the one best placed to reach you.
- A choice of tyres. Budget, mid-range and premium options for cars, vans and light commercial vehicles.
- No extra charges for the basics. Wheel balancing and disposal of your old tyre are free, and new tyres come with the manufacturer's guarantee.
- Flexible payment. Card, cash or bank transfer once the work is complete, with no hidden fees.
In a city where the car might live in a busy residents' car park, or with nowhere off-street at all, being able to get a tyre changed right where the car sits saves a lot of hassle.
Our Tyre Services Across the City
- Mobile tyre fitting: replacement tyres fitted outside your home, at the office or in a car park, wherever the car can be reached safely.
- Puncture repair: city streets are full of screws and glass. A small puncture in the main tread area can usually be repaired; damage near the edge or in the sidewall means a new tyre.
- Van tyres: couriers and trades working around Manchester can have a flat fixed between drops rather than losing the day.
- Breakdown recovery: for a wheel damaged beyond a roadside fix, or a car stranded where it isn't safe to work.

Rain Tip: Don't Let Your Tread Run Down
Manchester's reputation for rain is mostly a joke, but wet roads are a fact of driving here for much of the year. Tread is what clears water from under the tyre, and as it wears down, the car takes longer to stop and is more likely to aquaplane on standing water.
The legal minimum for a car is 1.6 mm across the central three-quarters of the tread, but grip in the wet drops off well before that point. Use the tread-wear bars moulded into the grooves, or a cheap depth gauge, and check each tyre in several places, because uneven wear can hide on the inner edge. If you're getting close to the limit, replace the tyres before the winter rather than after a near miss on the M60.
