A Mobile Tyre Service Built Around Sale
Sale sits on the south bank of the Mersey, a couple of miles below Stretford and about five miles south-west of Manchester city centre. It is mostly houses and quiet residential roads, cut through by the A56 on its way between Altrincham and the M60, so a typical week here involves short runs to school and the shops plus a commute that joins the motorway or heads straight into town.
That mix means flat tyres turn up in ordinary places: on the drive, outside a terrace on a narrow street, or in a space near one of the Metrolink stops. Our fitters come to wherever that is, bring the right tyre with them and do the work at the roadside, day or night.
We aim to reach most addresses within about 60 minutes. Rush hour on the A56 can stretch that a little, and we will give you a realistic idea when you call.
From Phone Call to Fitted Tyre
- Ring or message us. Say where the car is and what has happened. A photo of the tyre markings is just as useful as reading the size out.
- A fitter nearby takes the job. We have over 100 mobile fitters around England and Wales, so it goes to someone already working in this part of Greater Manchester.
- The work is done beside your car. Balancing is free, the old tyre is taken away for free, and every new tyre keeps its manufacturer's guarantee.
- You settle up afterwards by card, cash or bank transfer. The price we agree is the price you pay.
Services Available to Sale Households and Businesses
- Mobile tyre fitting: choose from budget, mid-range or premium brands and have them fitted on your drive in Brooklands or outside the office, without booking a slot at a garage.
- Puncture repair: small holes in the central part of the tread can usually be fixed safely, which saves you replacing a tyre that still has plenty of life in it.
- Van tyres: tradespeople parked up outside a job in Ashton upon Mersey or Sale Moor can get going again without a trip across the borough.
- Breakdown recovery: when a damaged wheel means the car shouldn't be driven at all.
Covering Every Corner of Sale
We cover the town centre and its surrounding districts, including Sale Moor, Brooklands, and Ashton upon Mersey, which joined Sale in 1930. Cars parked near the tram stops at Sale, Brooklands, Dane Road and Sale Water Park are all within easy reach, as is anywhere along the A56 corridor. If you have broken down on the stretch where the A56 meets the M60 at junction 7, pull well clear of traffic first and then ring us with the nearest landmark.
Our fitters also work across the neighbouring areas of Altrincham to the south-west, Stretford over the river, and central Manchester.
Building Work on the Street? Watch for Screws
Extensions, loft conversions and new driveways are a regular sight in residential Sale, and every skip and delivery lorry leaves a scattering of screws and nails in the gutter. They tend to end up embedded in a tyre and cause a slow leak rather than a sudden flat.
If a neighbour has builders in, it is worth glancing at your tyres every few days, especially the tread you can see when the wheels are turned. A screw head caught early, before the tyre has been run low on air, is often repairable. Leave it a fortnight and the sidewall may be damaged from driving soft, and then a new tyre is the only safe option.
