A Mobile Tyre Service Built for Stockport
Stockport is a mix of very different driving. Close to the centre you get tight Victorian terraces where parking is nose to tail. Out in Bramhall, Cheadle Hulme and Marple the roads are wider and the drives longer. Tying it all together is the M60, which loops past the town at junction 1 and carries a big share of local commuting.
We come to wherever your car has stopped. Our fitters carry tyres and kit in the van, so a puncture on a residential street or a damaged tyre in a retail car park can usually be sorted without the car moving. We cover every hour of every day, and in most cases we aim to arrive within 60 minutes, depending on traffic and where you are.
Why a Mobile Fitter Suits Stockport
Driving on a flat to find a garage risks the wheel as well as the tyre. Here is what you get by calling us instead:
- A fitter sent to you, picked from more than 100 mobile fitters we work with in England and Wales.
- Free wheel balancing on every tyre we fit.
- Free disposal of the tyre that comes off.
- The manufacturer's guarantee on each new tyre.
- Straightforward payment by card, cash or bank transfer, with no hidden fees.
Tyre Work We Carry Out Across Stockport
- Mobile tyre fitting: replacement tyres in a range of brands and budgets, fitted outside your home in Heaton Moor or at your workplace car park in the town centre.
- Puncture repair: when the hole sits within the central three-quarters of the tread and is under 6 mm, a proper repair is usually possible, so you aren't paying for a tyre you don't need.
- Van tyres: for builders, electricians and delivery drivers working the SK postcodes, so one flat doesn't wreck a full schedule.
- Breakdown recovery: available if the wheel or suspension has taken a knock and the car can't be fixed where it sits.
Stockport's Centres and the Roads Between Them
Our fitters work right across the borough: Edgeley, Heaton Moor, Reddish, Cheadle, Cheadle Hulme, Bramhall, Hazel Grove, Romiley and Marple, as well as the town centre itself. Main routes include the M60, the A6 and the A34 Kingsway.
Each of those district centres has its own pattern of parking, from short-stay bays on a high street to quiet cul-de-sacs off the main roads. Give us the nearest street name or postcode and the fitter will find you, whether you are outside a row of shops in Reddish or on an estate on the edge of Romiley.
We also reach neighbouring areas, including Manchester, Ashton-under-Lyne and Wilmslow over the Cheshire border.
Tight Terraces: Look After Your Sidewalls
In streets like those around Edgeley, parking often means squeezing in tight to the kerb. Scraping a tyre along a kerb, or bumping up onto one, can crush the sidewall against the rim. The damage isn't always obvious straight away, but it can leave a bulge or a cut in the rubber that weakens the tyre from the inside.
After any hard kerb strike, run your hand around the outside of the tyre and look closely for a lump, a split or exposed cord. A bulge means the tyre's structure is damaged and it shouldn't be driven on; sidewall damage can't be repaired either. Swing wide and park a few inches off the kerb where you can, and if you do find a bulge, call us rather than risking the drive to work.
