Mobile Tyre Fitting in Wallasey

Wallasey occupies the north-east corner of the Wirral, with the Mersey on one side and the Irish Sea on the other. The Kingsway Tunnel surfaces between Seacombe and Poulton and takes traffic straight into central Liverpool, and the M53 begins right there before heading south down the peninsula. From Wallasey Village, the North Wallasey Approach Road gives a quick run to junction 1.

So a lot of local trips are either a tunnel commute or a motorway run, mixed with plenty of short drives between Liscard, Egremont and New Brighton. If a tyre fails on any of them, we'll come to you. On a summer day when the seafront is busy, parking can be tight and you may not want to move a car with a flat. Let us know exactly where it is, which side of the road and roughly which tyre is affected, and the fitter will come prepared. If the car is in a spot where working on it would put anyone at risk, we'll talk you through moving it a short distance first.

Living close to the promenade has its downsides for cars. Salty air and, in winter, gritted roads both encourage corrosion on alloy wheels. Over time, the metal where the tyre seals against the rim, called the bead seat, can pit and roughen. Once that happens, air slowly escapes between tyre and wheel, even though the tyre itself has no puncture.

The symptom is a tyre that loses a few psi every week or two, with no nail to be found. If you have that on a car that lives near the seafront, mention it when you call. The fitter can remove the tyre, clean the corrosion off the bead seat and refit it, which often cures the leak. Washing the wheels regularly, including the inner faces, helps slow the problem down in the first place.
