Flat Tyre in Bradford? We Come to the Car
Most driving in Bradford funnels through a handful of routes: the A6177 ring road around the centre, the M606 that drops south to the M62 at Chain Bar, and the A650 heading up the Aire Valley towards Shipley and Bingley. A tyre that goes flat on any of those, or on a steep terraced street off them, is awkward to deal with on your own. Rather than limping to a garage on a damaged tyre, you can have a fitter come out and do the work where the car has stopped.
We run around the clock, every day of the year. In most cases we aim to have someone with you within 60 minutes, although rush-hour queues on the ring road or the Chain Bar roundabout can add to that.
On plenty of residential streets the cars stay parked on the road, often tight together and on a slope. That's fine for us. As long as there is room to get a jack under the car and work on the wheel safely, the fitter can usually change the tyre right there at the kerb while you get on with your morning.
From Phone Call to Fitted Tyre
When you ring, we ask where the car is, what has happened and, if you can read it, the size printed on the tyre wall. That lets us match a tyre before the fitter sets off. The job then goes to whichever of our 100+ fitters across England and Wales is closest and free, so you are not waiting for a van crossing half of West Yorkshire.
- Included every time: wheel balancing and taking away the old tyre, at no extra charge.
- Choice of tyre: budget, mid-range or premium, each with the manufacturer's guarantee.
- Paying: card, cash or bank transfer once the work is finished, and no hidden fees.
What Our Bradford Fitters Can Do
- Mobile tyre fitting: replacement tyres fitted on your drive in Eccleshill, outside your workplace near the city centre, or in a supermarket car park.
- Puncture repair: a nail or screw in the middle of the tread can often be plugged and patched properly. If it sits near the shoulder or the hole is too big, we tell you straight and fit a new tyre instead.
- Van tyres: for couriers and trades vans working the estates and industrial units around the ring road, ideally sorted before the next drop.
- Breakdown recovery: if a wheel is bent or the car is stuck somewhere unsafe, such as a slip road on the M606, we can arrange to move it.
Across the City and Up the Aire Valley
Our fitters cover the whole of Bradford, including Eccleshill, Idle, Thornton, Wyke, Tong and North Bierley, plus Queensbury and Denholme on the higher ground to the west. North of the centre we go out through Shipley and on to Bingley along the A650.
We also reach drivers on the M62 near junction 26 and the A58 and A638 around Chain Bar. Neighbouring places we cover include Leeds, Pudsey, Halifax and Keighley.
Know Where Your Locking Wheel Nut Key Is
Plenty of cars leave the factory with one locking nut on each wheel, and the key that undoes them tends to end up in the glovebox, the boot well, a door pocket or a kitchen drawer at home. Without it, a fitter has to remove the locking nut with special tools, which takes longer.
Spend two minutes finding it now, and put it somewhere obvious, such as the tray with the spare or the tyre inflator. If you've bought a used car, check the key was handed over with it. When you call us about a flat, tell us whether you have the key so the fitter knows what to bring.
