Mobile Tyre Fitting in Otley

Otley is a market town on the River Wharfe, roughly thirteen miles north-west of Leeds city centre, and most journeys out of it follow the valley. The A660 runs south-east towards Leeds, the A65 passes just to the west, and smaller roads climb out of the dale towards Bradford and Harrogate. That mix of main road and steep, narrow lanes is hard on tyres, and a flat out here can leave you a long way from a workshop.

Lanes that wind up out of a river valley take a battering every winter, and the potholes tend to sit right where you brake for a bend. A hard hit does not always cause a flat straight away. More often it leaves a bulge or a split on the sidewall that fails a few days later, usually at speed.

If you have clattered through a deep hole, pull over somewhere safe when you can and look at the inner and outer sidewall of that wheel. A bubble, a cut or a steering wheel that now pulls to one side are all reasons to stop driving on it. A bulged sidewall cannot be repaired, so ring us and we will replace the tyre where you are.
