Where do I find my tyre size?

It's printed on the side of the tyre, for example 205/55 R16 91V: width, profile, rim size, then load and speed rating. Can't read it? Call us on 07989 606060 and we'll help.

Tyre Fitting on the Doorstep in Brighouse

Brighouse lies on the River Calder a few miles east of Halifax, with junction 25 of the M62 right on its edge. That junction feeds the A644, which runs through town and on to Mirfield and Dewsbury, while the A641 crosses the river on Brighouse Bridge and heads north towards Bradford. At Hipperholme, the A58 links Halifax and Leeds. With that much through traffic, a tyre problem here often happens just off the motorway, and we come out to fix it.

Our fitters are available all day and all night. In most cases we aim to be with you within 60 minutes, depending on exactly where you are and what the traffic is doing around the junction.

Many jobs are simpler than people expect. A tyre that's gone soft overnight on a driveway in Rastrick, or a puncture discovered in a car park in the town centre, can usually be dealt with in place, so the car never has to be driven on a flat.

What You Get When a Fitter Arrives

Each call goes to the nearest free fitter from our network of over 100 across England and Wales, so whoever turns up isn't travelling far. Before they leave, the fitter has the right tyre on board, provided you've been able to give us the size.

If you can't find the size, don't worry. Your registration lets us look up what the car usually runs on, and the fitter will double-check the tyre on the car before starting. If the car has mismatched or unusual tyres fitted, a quick photo of the sidewall sent over WhatsApp clears it up.

  • Repair first: if the puncture can be safely repaired, it will be.
  • Otherwise a new tyre: budget, mid-range or premium, with the manufacturer's guarantee.
  • Free extras: wheel balancing, plus disposal of the tyre that came off.
  • Clear payment: card, cash or transfer on completion, no hidden fees.

What We Offer Brighouse Motorists

  • Mobile tyre fitting: tyres supplied and fitted at your home in Hove Edge or Clifton, or at your workplace near the motorway.
  • Puncture repair: small holes in the central tread are repaired to British Standard guidance rather than replaced.
  • Van tyres: for business vans using junction 25 every day, with the tyre changed at the yard or on site.
  • Breakdown recovery: when the damage goes beyond the tyre, or the car is stuck somewhere it can't be worked on.

Around Brighouse: Villages, Roads and Neighbours

We cover Brighouse itself and Rastrick across the river, plus Clifton, Bailiff Bridge, Hove Edge, Hipperholme, Lightcliffe, Norwood Green and Coley. That includes the M62 around junction 25 and the A644, A641 and A58.

Nearby towns on our patch include Halifax, Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Bradford.

Uneven Wear Usually Means Something Else Is Wrong

When you look at your tyres, look across the tread as well as at its depth. A front tyre worn much more on the inner or outer edge than in the middle normally points to wheel alignment that's out, often after a hard knock on a pothole or kerb. Wear in the centre only suggests over-inflation; wear on both edges suggests the tyre has been run too soft.

Fitting a new tyre without fixing the cause just means the new one wears the same way. If the steering pulls to one side or the wheel isn't straight when you're driving straight, get the alignment checked. Our fitter will point out any odd wear pattern when changing a tyre, so you know whether it's worth following up.
