A Mobile Tyre Service Built Around Worcester's Roads
Worcester is a city of two halves joined by a handful of river crossings, and anyone who drives here knows how quickly traffic backs up when one of them is busy. Add the M5 junctions on the eastern side, the A4440 southern link road and the A38 and A449 feeding in from Droitwich, Malvern and Kidderminster, and a lot of local journeys involve queues, roundabouts and not much room to stop.
So when a tyre goes, we bring the fix to you. One of our fitters travels out with the right tyre and does the work at your house in St John's, at the office in the city centre, or in a safe spot near where you broke down. We cover Worcester day and night, seven days a week, and usually aim to reach you within 60 minutes, depending on traffic and how far out you are.
From Phone Call to Fitted Tyre
- You get in touch. Let us know the location and what has happened. A photo of the tyre wall showing the size is useful if you can take one safely.
- A fitter heads your way. With 100+ mobile fitters across England and Wales, we pass the job to someone working near Worcester.
- The work is done beside the car. A repair if the damage allows it, a new tyre if not. Balancing is free, and so is taking the old tyre away.
- You settle up and drive off. Card, cash or bank transfer, with no hidden extras. New tyres come with the manufacturer's guarantee.
Services Available Across the City
- Mobile tyre fitting: premium, mid-range or budget tyres fitted at home in Battenhall or Barbourne, or at work, without a trip across the bridge to a garage.
- Puncture repair: small punctures in the central part of the tread are repaired to British Standard guidance, so a sound tyre is not thrown away.
- Van tyres: for delivery and trade vans working the business parks near the M5 junctions and the farms out towards Pershore and Evesham.
- Breakdown recovery: when the wheel is damaged or the car cannot stay where it is, for example on a narrow stretch of the A44.
Worcester Areas and the Towns Around It
Our fitters cover St John's, Lower Wick, Barbourne, Claines, Northwick, Warndon, Ronkswood, Battenhall, St Peter's and the city centre, as well as the main routes in and out: the M5 at junctions 6 and 7, the A44, A38, A449 and A4440.
Beyond the city we reach Droitwich Spa, Malvern, Pershore and Upton-upon-Severn, and further afield Kidderminster, Stourbridge and, down the M5, Cheltenham.
Wet-Weather Tip: Tread Depth and Flooded Roads
The Severn and the Teme mean Worcester sees its share of high water, and even when the river stays in its banks, heavy rain leaves standing water on low-lying roads and lanes around the city. That is when tread depth matters most. The grooves are what clear water from under the tyre, and as they wear down the car becomes more likely to aquaplane.
The legal minimum in the UK is 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tread, but grip in the wet falls away well before that, so many drivers change tyres at around 3mm. A quick check: push a 20p coin into the grooves. If you can see the outer band of the coin, it is time to think about replacements. And if a road ahead is flooded, find another way round rather than guessing its depth. Water can hide potholes that damage tyres and wheels.
