Where the M5 and M42 Meet the Town
Few towns of its size are as hemmed in by motorways as Bromsgrove. The M5 runs along its western side, with junction 4 at Lydiate Ash to the north and junction 5 near Wychbold to the south, while the M42 begins just north of the town at junction 1 by Lickey End. The A38 runs down the eastern side and ties it all together. For a lot of households, the daily drive starts with a few minutes on local roads and then a slip road.
That makes a tyre failure at speed a real possibility, but most of our Bromsgrove call-outs are simpler: a flat found on the drive in the morning, or a slow leak that finally gave up in a supermarket car park. Either way, a mobile fitter comes to the car. We operate 24/7 and aim to arrive within 60 minutes in most cases, depending on traffic.
How We Handle a Bromsgrove Call-Out
- You call or message. Let us know the location, what has gone wrong and, ideally, the tyre size from the sidewall.
- We find the closest fitter. The job goes to whoever in our network of more than 100 fitters across England and Wales can reach you soonest.
- The fitter does the work beside the car. The tyre is either repaired or replaced, then the wheel is balanced. Both the balancing and the removal of your old tyre are free.
New tyres come with the manufacturer's guarantee. You pay at the end by card, cash or bank transfer, and the price has no hidden fees tucked into it.
If you have broken down on the hard shoulder or in an emergency area, get yourself and any passengers out on the verge side and behind the barrier before you phone. The fitter or recovery driver will assess on arrival whether the work can be done there or whether the car should be moved first.
Our Bromsgrove Tyre Services
- Mobile tyre fitting: a choice of budget, mid-range and premium tyres, fitted at home in Sidemoor or Charford, at work, or wherever you have stopped.
- Puncture repair: we repair when British Standard guidance says it is safe to, and replace the tyre when it is not.
- Van tyres: for vans running between Bromsgrove, Birmingham and Worcester, so a puncture costs you an hour rather than a day.
- Breakdown recovery: for a damaged wheel, a car that cannot be worked on safely, or a fault that goes beyond the tyres.
Sidemoor, Aston Fields and the Surrounding Villages
Our fitters reach every part of Bromsgrove, including Sidemoor, Stoke Heath, Aston Fields, Charford, Marlbrook and Rock Hill. We also cover the villages around the town, such as Catshill, Lickey End, Lickey, Barnt Green and Blackwell, and attend breakdowns on the A38, the M42 and the M5 between junctions 4 and 5.
For nearby towns, see our pages for Redditch, Droitwich Spa and Kidderminster.
Loading Up for a Holiday? Adjust Your Pressures
With the M5 on the doorstep, plenty of summer trips from Bromsgrove head south-west towards the coast with a full car: passengers, luggage, perhaps bikes on the back or a roof box. Extra weight squashes the tyres more, and if the pressures are set for an empty car, the sidewalls flex and heat up over a long motorway run.
Most cars list two sets of pressures, one for normal use and a higher one for a full load. You will find them on a sticker inside the driver's door, in the fuel filler flap, or in the handbook. Set the higher figures before you leave, with the tyres cold, and drop them back once you are home. While you are at it, look over the tread and sidewalls for cuts or bulges, because a long, hot, heavily loaded journey is exactly when a weak tyre gives up.
