Getting Around Redditch on Four Good Tyres
Redditch is a new town laid out around separate residential districts, several with a small centre of their own, linked by fast main roads. The A441 connects the town with Birmingham to the north and Evesham to the south, the A435 skirts the eastern edge towards M42 junction 3, and the A4023 Coventry Highway carries traffic across the north of the town. Driving between districts usually means a few minutes on one of these, rather than crawling through a single town centre.
Fast roads and plenty of junctions mean tyres get worked hard, and when one fails you want it dealt with quickly. We send a mobile fitter to wherever you are, 24 hours a day, and in most cases we aim to be there within 60 minutes, depending on traffic and location.
Why Redditch Drivers Ring Us Instead
Getting a flat sorted at a fitting centre usually means fitting the spare first, then driving there and waiting. With us, the tyre comes to you. Here is what you can expect:
- The nearest fitter from our network of more than 100 across England and Wales is sent out to you.
- They arrive with the right size tyre, having checked the details you gave us on the phone.
- The wheel is balanced and your old tyre taken away, both at no charge.
- Every new tyre carries the manufacturer's guarantee.
- You pay by card, cash or bank transfer once the work is finished, with no hidden fees.
Because the fitter works at the kerbside, at home or in a workplace car park, you lose far less of your day. It also means you are not driving on a damaged tyre, which can turn a simple repair into a ruined tyre or a scraped rim. If the car is somewhere awkward, such as a lay-by on a busy road, let us know and we will plan the safest way to reach it.
Tyre Services Across the Town
- Mobile tyre fitting: one or more new tyres fitted outside your home in Webheath, at work, or in a car park near Matchborough Centre.
- Puncture repair: if the puncture is in the central part of the tread and less than 6 mm, a repair is normally the sensible choice.
- Van tyres: for couriers and trades who rely on the Coventry Highway and the A435 to get between jobs.
- Breakdown recovery: when the car cannot be repaired safely at the roadside, or the damage goes beyond the tyre.
Redditch Districts and the Villages Around Them
We cover all of the town's districts, among them Church Hill, Matchborough, Winyates, Lodge Park, Batchley, Headless Cross, Crabbs Cross, Oakenshaw, Ipsley, Webheath and Astwood Bank.
Beyond the town, our fitters reach Studley, Feckenham, Alvechurch, Beoley and Inkberrow. For neighbouring towns, see Bromsgrove, Evesham and Stratford-upon-Avon.
When the Tyre Pressure Warning Light Comes On
Most cars built in the last decade or so have a tyre pressure monitoring system, which shows a yellow symbol on the dash shaped like a horseshoe with an exclamation mark inside. It is easy to ignore, but it is telling you that at least one tyre has dropped noticeably below its proper pressure.
Do not keep driving at speed on the town's fast main roads once it lights up. Find somewhere safe to stop and look at each tyre. If one is clearly flat or you can see a nail, call us. If they all look fine, check the pressures with a gauge at a petrol station, using the figures in the handbook or door frame. Cold mornings can trigger the light because air contracts, so topping up may be all that is needed. On many cars the system has to be reset after inflation; the handbook explains how. If the light returns within a day or two, you very likely have a slow puncture.
