Prestatyn Drivers: We Bring the Tyre Bay to Your Kerb
Prestatyn lies at the north-east end of the Clwydian hills, with the hillside rising behind the town and the beaches spread out in front. Two roads do most of the work: the A548, which runs west to Rhyl and east past Gronant towards Talacre, and the A547, which climbs out through Meliden to Dyserth. For the expressway, most drivers head inland to join the A55.
Whether your flat happens on the drive, near the beach at Ffrith or halfway up the hill to Meliden, you don't have to deal with it yourself. Call us and a mobile fitter comes to the car, carrying the tyres and equipment to finish the job there and then.
The phone is answered every hour of every day. We aim to be with you within 60 minutes in most cases; how long it actually takes depends on where you are and on the traffic.
What You Get With Every Prestatyn Call-Out
A mobile fitter saves you the hassle of changing a wheel at the roadside and then queuing at a garage. Here's what's part of the deal:
- A fitter from nearby. We pick from more than 100 mobile fitters in England and Wales, all with long experience of the trade.
- An honest assessment. If the puncture can be safely repaired, we repair it; if not, a new tyre goes on.
- Balancing and disposal. Both are free with every tyre we fit.
- Guaranteed tyres. Every new tyre carries its manufacturer's guarantee.
- Flexible payment. Card, cash or bank transfer, with no surprise charges.
Tyre Help on Offer in Prestatyn
- Fitting at your address: premium, mid-range or budget tyres, put on while the car stays parked outside your house.
- Mobile puncture repair: suitable when the hole is small and sits in the central part of the tread, away from the sidewall.
- Vans and light commercials: useful for anyone running a trade or delivery round along the coast road.
- Getting you recovered: for damage that can't be put right on the spot, such as a cracked or bent wheel.
Gronant, Meliden, Dyserth and Beyond
We cover the town centre, the Ffrith beach area and the residential streets climbing towards the hillside. Just outside Prestatyn, our fitters go to Meliden and Dyserth along the A547, Gronant and Talacre to the east on the A548, and Rhuallt to the south.
The A5151 and the A55 are part of our area too, so a puncture on the way to or from the expressway is covered just like one on your own street. Nearby towns we serve include Rhyl, a few miles west, Mold over the hills, and Colwyn Bay along the coast.
Towing a Caravan or Trailer? Check These First
Plenty of cars on the north Wales coast tow a caravan, boat or trailer, and the tyres on the towed unit are easy to forget. They often sit unused all winter, which ages the rubber even when the tread looks fine. Before your first trip of the season:
- Read the four-digit date code on the sidewall. Many caravan bodies advise replacing tyres at around five years old, whatever the tread depth.
- Look for fine cracks in the sidewall, a common sign of tyres that have stood still for months.
- Set pressures from the caravan or trailer handbook, and raise the car's rear pressures to the towing figure on the door sticker.
- Don't forget the spare on the caravan, if it has one.
