A Mobile Tyre Service Built Around Llandudno
Llandudno is a resort first, so the roads change with the seasons. In summer the promenade fills with visitors, the A470 brings a steady stream of cars, campervans and caravans in from the expressway, and finding a parking space near the seafront can take a while. Out of season it is quieter, but wind and rain off the bay make wet roads a regular part of local driving.
If you get a flat here, whether you live in town or are staying for the week, there is no need to hunt for a garage you don't know. We send a fitter to you with the right tyre and fit it on the spot: outside your hotel or guest house, on your own driveway, or in a car park after a trip round Marine Drive.
Our fitters are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We aim to reach you as quickly as possible, and in most cases that means within 60 minutes, depending on where you are and how busy the roads are.
Why Locals and Visitors Call a Mobile Fitter
A mobile fitter saves you driving on a damaged tyre, waiting around in a workshop or losing half a day of your holiday. Here is what you get:
- The nearest available fitter. We have a network of over 100 mobile tyre fitters across England and Wales, so the job goes to whoever is closest.
- Free extras. Wheel balancing and disposal of your old tyre are included with every fitting.
- A choice of tyres. Budget, mid-range and premium brands for cars, vans and light commercial vehicles, all with the manufacturer's guarantee.
- Easy payment. Card, cash or bank transfer, at a competitive price with nothing hidden.
Our Services Around the Resort
- Mobile tyre fitting: replacement tyres fitted at your address or at the place you're staying, so worn or damaged tyres don't hold up the drive home.
- Puncture repair: where the damage is under 6 mm and inside the central three-quarters of the tread, we repair it in line with British Standard guidance; if not, we put a new tyre on there and then.
- Van tyres: for the vans that keep hotels, shops and cafés supplied, especially during the busy months when a day off the road really hurts.
- Breakdown recovery: when a buckled wheel or another fault means the vehicle can't be driven safely.
Districts, Neighbours and Main Roads
We cover the town centre and the promenade, Craig-y-Don, the West Shore and the roads around the Great Orme, plus Penrhyn Bay, Llanrhos and Rhos-on-Sea to the east. Deganwy and Llandudno Junction are just across the estuary.
Fitters reach drivers on the A470 and A546 into town and on the A55 below. Close by we also have pages for Conwy, Llanrwst and Bangor.
Towing to the Coast? Check the Caravan's Tyres Too
Plenty of people head to this stretch of coast with a caravan or trailer behind them, and those tyres are easy to forget. A caravan can sit on its drive or in storage for months, and tyres that stand still in one position can crack, flat-spot and lose pressure, even when the tread looks fine.
Before you set off, look along each sidewall for cracks or bulges, and check the pressures against the figures in the caravan or trailer handbook, which are often higher than you would expect. Tyres also age with time rather than miles, so check the date code on the sidewall: an old tyre with plenty of tread can still fail under load on a hot motorway. Do the same for the car doing the towing, since it is carrying more weight than usual. If something looks wrong once you're here, we can usually help with car and van tyres where you are parked.
