A Mobile Tyre Service Built Around Lynn's Roads
Three major roads meet at a roundabout just south-west of King's Lynn town centre: the A10 coming up from Downham Market, the A47 crossing Norfolk east to west, and the A149 heading north for the coast. Out to the west the A17 sets off across the fens towards Lincolnshire. Between them they carry farm traffic, lorries from the Hardwick industrial estate and a steady flow of commuters, which makes for a lot of tyre wear and the odd unwelcome nail.
When a tyre lets you down, we send a mobile fitter to the car rather than asking you to bring it in. It could be parked on a street in Gaywood, at a unit on the industrial estate or at the side of the A47. We operate around the clock and, traffic and distance permitting, usually aim to get to you within 60 minutes.
What You Get When a Fitter Comes Out
Every job is handled by one of our network of 100+ mobile fitters across England and Wales, people with many years of tyre fitting behind them. For you, that means:
- the tyre fitted on the spot, with the wheel balanced at no extra charge;
- your worn or damaged tyre taken away and disposed of free;
- the manufacturer's guarantee on any new tyre;
- a clear price with no surprise fees, payable by card, cash or bank transfer.
Prices depend on the tyre size, the brand you choose, and when and where we're coming out, so we'll quote before any work starts.
Tyre Services for West Norfolk Drivers
Our core service is mobile tyre fitting: new tyres for your car, fitted at home or work, with budget through to premium brands on offer.
Where a tyre can be saved, we'll do a puncture repair instead. That works for small holes in the central three-quarters of the tread, which covers most screws picked up on the road.
Farm suppliers, builders and delivery drivers can book our van tyre fitting. If the damage is beyond a roadside fix, such as a cracked wheel, we arrange breakdown recovery.
Gaywood, the Woottons and Surrounding Towns
Our fitters cover every part of the town, including Gaywood, Fairstead and South Lynn, along with the Hardwick industrial estate. Just north-east are North Wootton and South Wootton, and across the river to the west we reach Clenchwarton.
Plenty of our calls come from further out too: drivers heading up the A149 towards Hunstanton for the day, people commuting down the A10 from Downham Market, and hauliers coming in on the A17 from the Lincolnshire side. If you're somewhere in between and not sure whether we reach you, ring and ask; the answer is usually yes.
Along the A47 we cover Norwich to the east and Peterborough to the west, and the A10 south leads to Ely.
Watch for Hedge Cuttings on Country Roads
Once the hedges along rural roads have been trimmed, the verges and the road edge are often littered with thorn fragments, particularly hawthorn and blackthorn. They're small, sharp and easy to drive over without noticing, and they are a common cause of slow punctures in the weeks that follow.
After driving lanes that have just been cut, glance over your tyres when you park. A thorn sitting in the tread may not cause a leak straight away, so a tyre that needs topping up every few days is a good hint. Keeping slightly away from the very edge of the road, where cuttings collect, helps too.
