Skegness Tyre Fitting, Brought to Your Car
Skegness has two main roads in and out. The A158 comes in from Lincoln, single carriageway nearly all the way, around the Burgh Bypass and into town, where it meets the A52. The A52 itself runs south-west through Wainfleet towards Boston and north up the coast to Ingoldmells and Chapel St Leonards. In summer both get crowded with holiday traffic, and a flat tyre in a queue on the A158 is nobody's idea of a good start to the week.
Whether you live here or you've just arrived for a break, a mobile fitter can come to you. We'll bring the tyre to your home, your caravan park pitch or a safe spot at the roadside, at any hour. Our aim is to get to you within about an hour in most cases, though seasonal traffic and your location can change that.
How It Works When You Ring From Skegness
- Let us know where you are. For a holiday park, give us the park name and pitch or lodge number; on the road, the nearest village or junction.
- We send a fitter who can get there. Our network of 100+ mobile fitters across England and Wales means we can usually find someone close to the coast.
- Your tyre is replaced or repaired. Free balancing and free disposal of the old tyre are part of every fitting, and new tyres have the manufacturer's guarantee.
No hidden fees. Pay by card, cash or bank transfer, which is handy if you're away from home.
What We Offer on the Skegness Coast
- Mobile tyre fitting: new tyres for residents and visitors alike, fitted outside your house in Winthorpe or at your accommodation.
- Puncture repair: when the puncture is small and in the middle of the tread, we repair it so you can carry on with your stay.
- Van tyres: for the vans keeping the resort supplied and maintained, especially during the busy season.
- Breakdown recovery: if the car can't be fixed where it is, or it's stuck somewhere unsafe on the A52 or A158.
Skegness, the Coast and the Roads Inland
We cover the whole of Skegness, including Winthorpe and Seacroft, and the resorts that run on from it to the north, Ingoldmells and Chapel St Leonards. Inland, we reach Burgh le Marsh and Wainfleet, and we work along the A52 and the A158 in both directions.
The stretch of the A52 between Skegness and Ingoldmells is lined with caravan and holiday parks, and with the park name and your pitch or lodge number, a fitter can find their way straight to the car. If the park has a reception or a main gate, tell us and we'll meet you there if that's easier.
Heading further afield, we also cover Boston, Louth and Lincoln.
Heading to the Coast? Pump Up for the Load
A car packed for a week by the sea, with a full boot, passengers and maybe bikes on the back, is a lot heavier than it is on a normal day. Most handbooks list a higher pressure for a fully loaded car, and running at the everyday figure makes the tyres flex more, run hotter and wear faster.
Before setting off, look up the laden pressures on the door sticker or in the handbook and inflate to those, then drop back down when you've unloaded. If you're towing a trailer or caravan, check its tyres too: they often sit unused for months, and age and cracking matter as much as tread depth.
