Living close to the bay means salt in the air and sand blown across the coast road. Over time that grit works its way into the rubber valve stems and the seat where the tyre meets the rim, and alloy wheels can start to corrode at the edge. The result is often a slow leak that doesn't show up as a hole in the tread at all.
Give your wheels a rinse with fresh water every so often, especially through winter when the roads are gritted as well. If one tyre keeps dropping a few psi a week with no nail to be found, ask the fitter to check the valve and the bead. A new valve or a cleaned rim seat can often cure it.
