Leyland's Mobile Tyre Service
Leyland sits just south of Preston in South Ribble, with the M6 running past it. Junction 28 serves the town directly, and junction 30 at Bamber Bridge is a few minutes north. The A49 follows the motorway through Leyland towards Wigan, while the A582 links the area to Preston and the M65. Add the industrial sites around Farington and you have a town with plenty of commuter cars and a lot of commercial traffic.
When one of those vehicles gets a flat, we send a fitter to it. You don't have to change a wheel on a verge or find a garage with space. We work 24 hours a day, every day, and in most cases aim to be with you within 60 minutes, depending on location and traffic on the M6 and A582.
The A582 is busy enough at peak times that local plans have long been in the works to ease its congestion. Sitting in that kind of slow traffic on a soft tyre is no fun, so if you notice the car pulling or a warning light, it's better to stop somewhere safe and call than to push on.
How We Handle a Leyland Job
- Get in touch. Phone, WhatsApp or the web form. Share where you are and the tyre size if it's easy to read.
- We match you to a fitter. From a network of more than 100 mobile fitters across England and Wales, we pick whoever can reach South Ribble soonest.
- They fix it where you are. Repair if safe, new tyre if not, with free balancing and free removal of your old one.
New tyres come with the manufacturer's guarantee. There are no hidden fees, and you can pay by card, cash or bank transfer.
Tyre Services for Cars, Vans and Fleets
- Mobile tyre fitting: tyres from budget to premium, fitted on your drive in Moss Side or Wade Hall, or in your work car park.
- Van tyres: with the industrial area around Farington close by, keeping vans and light commercials moving is a big part of what we do here.
- Puncture repair: small holes in the central tread are repaired following British Standard guidance; anything else gets a new tyre on the spot.
- Breakdown recovery: for wheel damage or a vehicle stuck somewhere it can't safely be worked on, like a live lane near junction 28.
Leyland Areas and Neighbouring Towns
We cover all of Leyland, including Earnshaw Bridge, Turpin Green, Moss Side, Wade Hall and Seven Stars, along with Farington and Farington Moss to the north. Roads covered include the M6 at junctions 28 and 30, the A49, the A582 and Leyland Lane, and we also reach Bamber Bridge.
That Tyre Pressure Warning Light: What to Do
Most modern cars have a tyre pressure monitoring system, shown on the dashboard as a horseshoe shape with an exclamation mark. When it comes on, at least one tyre has dropped noticeably below where it should be. It's easy to assume it's a false alarm, especially on a cold morning, but it's worth treating seriously.
Pull in somewhere safe and look at each tyre. If one is visibly low, don't drive further than you need to. If they all look fine, check the pressures with a gauge at the next opportunity and inflate them to the figures on the door sticker. On many cars the system then needs resetting through the dashboard menu. If the light comes back within a day or two, you almost certainly have a slow puncture, and it's time to get it looked at.
