Tyres Fitted Where You Stop in Hinckley
Hinckley sits on Watling Street, the A5, with the A47 heading north-east through Earl Shilton towards Leicester and the M69 skirting the town on its way between Coventry and the M1. That mix means a lot of local driving is fast A-road and motorway work, often alongside heavy goods traffic heading to and from the warehouses near the A5. Tyres take a beating on routes like these, and a flat at the side of a busy road is no fun.
Our fitters are mobile, so they come out to you rather than the other way round. Whether the car is on a driveway in Burbage, outside a shop in the town centre or on a verge near junction 1 of the M69, we bring the tyre and the kit and get you moving again. We take calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and usually aim to arrive within the hour, subject to traffic and how far out you are.
Not every job is a roadside emergency. If your tread is getting low, book a fitter to call at home in Barwell or at your work in town, and the new tyres go on while you get on with your day.
From Your Phone Call to a New Tyre
- Ring or message us with the details. Where the car is, what the tyre looks like and the size off the sidewall, such as 205/55 R16.
- A nearby fitter takes the job. With upwards of 100 mobile fitters spread across England and Wales, we can normally find someone already working in south-west Leicestershire.
- Repair or replace on the spot. Every fitting includes free balancing and free removal of the worn tyre, and new tyres come with the maker's guarantee.
Settle up afterwards by card, cash or bank transfer. The price you agree is the price you pay.
Hinckley Tyre Services at a Glance
- Mobile fitting: budget, mid-range or premium tyres put on at your home or workplace, so there's no need to drive across town on a worn one.
- Puncture repair: we patch tyres when the hole is small and in the central tread, following British Standard guidance, and only suggest a replacement when a repair wouldn't be safe.
- Van and light commercial tyres: handy for delivery drivers and firms working out of the industrial estates along the A5.
- Breakdown recovery: when the damage goes beyond the tyre, or the car can't stay safely where it is on a fast road.
Burbage, Barwell, Earl Shilton and Beyond
We cover Hinckley itself and the places that run into it: Burbage to the east, Barwell on its ridge to the north, and Earl Shilton a little further up the A47. Calls on the A5, the A47, the M69 and the roads linking them are a big part of what we do here.
Our fitters also work across the border and up the road in Nuneaton, Leicester, Lutterworth and Coventry.
Watch for Debris on Freight Routes
Roads that carry lots of lorries and builders' vehicles tend to collect bits of metal, screws and broken strapping on the edges and around roundabouts. Around Hinckley, with the A5 and the distribution sites close by, it's worth keeping an eye out. A screw in the tread often doesn't cause an obvious flat straight away; it lets air out slowly over a few days.
Every couple of weeks, run your hand over the tread (with the engine off and the handbrake on) or have a look while turning the steering to full lock. If you find something embedded, leave it in place, since pulling it out can turn a slow leak into a fast one. Check the pressure, and if it's dropping, get it looked at before your next trip down the M69.
