Tyres Fitted Where You Stop in Atherstone
Atherstone grew up on Watling Street, and the A5 still shapes most journeys here. Lorries, vans and through traffic share the road with people heading to work in Nuneaton or Tamworth, and junction 10 of the M42 is only a few minutes up the road. That mix of heavy traffic and fast trunk road means tyres pick up a lot of grit, bolts and debris.
When one of those ends up in your tread, our mobile fitters come out to you. It could be the driveway at home, a lay-by off the A5, a side street near the town centre or the yard where you work. The fitter arrives with the tyre and the tools, and the car doesn't have to go anywhere.
We take calls around the clock, every day of the year. Most of the time we try to have someone with you inside an hour, though roadworks on the A5 and the time of day both make a difference.
Why Atherstone Drivers Call a Mobile Fitter
Limping a damaged tyre along a busy trunk road to find a garage is the riskiest part of a puncture. Calling us instead keeps it simple:
- One call, any hour. Say where the car is and read us the size off the tyre wall, something like 205/55 R16.
- A fitter from nearby. Our network of over 100 mobile fitters across England and Wales means the job goes to someone working in north Warwickshire, not a van crossing the Midlands.
- Everything done at the roadside or kerb. Balancing is free, so is taking your old tyre away, and any new tyre comes with its manufacturer's guarantee.
Cash, card or bank transfer are all fine once the work is finished, and the price you agree is the price you pay.
What We Can Do Around Atherstone
- Mobile tyre fitting: budget, mid-range or premium tyres put on at your home or workplace, which saves a trip into Nuneaton or Tamworth for a garage slot.
- Puncture repair: a nail or screw in the middle of the tread can usually be plugged properly. If it's near the shoulder or too big, we'll tell you straight and fit a replacement instead.
- Van tyres: for trades and delivery drivers based in and around Atherstone. A loaded van with a flat is awkward to move, so we come to it, and a quick on-site swap keeps the round going.
- Breakdown recovery: if a wheel is bent or the car is somewhere it can't safely be worked on, we can move it.
From Mancetter to the M42: Our Atherstone Patch
We cover the town itself and the villages around it, including Mancetter, Hartshill, Grendon, Dordon and Polesworth, along with the stretch of the A5 between Nuneaton and Tamworth and the M42 around junction 10.
Further afield, our fitters also work across Coventry, Birmingham, Solihull and Leicester, so if your trip takes you out of north Warwickshire you can still call the same number.
A5 Tip: Look for Debris Damage, Not Just Flats
Roads that carry a lot of lorries tend to collect bits of metal, strapping and broken trailer parts on the verges and in the gutters. Running over them doesn't always cause an instant flat. Sometimes it leaves a cut in the sidewall or a bulge that only shows up days later.
Every couple of weeks, walk round the car and look at each tyre from the side as well as the tread. A lump, a split or exposed cords means the tyre is unsafe at A5 speeds and can't be repaired. Don't wait for it to go down; ring us and we'll replace it where the car is parked.
If a tyre does fail while you're on the A5, pull as far onto the verge or into a lay-by as you can, put the hazards on and wait well away from the traffic while you call.
