Coalville Mobile Tyre Fitting, Day and Night
Coalville grew up around former mining villages, and today it's a string of connected communities: Whitwick and Thringstone to the north, Hugglescote to the south, Ravenstone to the west. The A511 carries traffic through the area between Leicester and Burton upon Trent, and junction 22 of the M1, where the A511 meets the A50, is close by. Many people here drive out each morning towards Leicester, Loughborough or the motorway.
If you come out to a flat on the drive in Hugglescote, or a tyre gives up on the A511 on the way home, there's no need to call a friend for a lift to a garage. A mobile fitter will come out to wherever the car is and replace or repair the tyre on site. We answer 24 hours a day, every day, and usually aim to have someone there within 60 minutes, depending on traffic and how far the nearest fitter has to travel.
Plenty of the work is planned rather than urgent. If your tyres are wearing thin or one keeps losing pressure, tell us when and where suits you, and the fitter will turn up at home or at work.
What Coalville Customers Get With Every Call-Out
- A fitter from close by. We have a network of more than 100 mobile fitters around England and Wales, and the job goes to whoever is nearest to North West Leicestershire at the time.
- No extra charge for balancing. Wheels are balanced as part of the fitting, and your old tyre is disposed of free.
- A tyre to suit the budget. Pick from premium, mid-range or budget ranges, all carrying the manufacturer's guarantee.
- Clear payment. Card, cash or bank transfer when the job's done, and no hidden fees on top.
Decades of combined tyre-fitting experience sit behind the network, so the person who turns up knows how to do the job properly at the side of a road as well as on a driveway.
Our Coalville Services
- Mobile tyre fitting: new tyres for cars and small SUVs, fitted at home, at the office or in a car park in town.
- Mobile puncture repair: if the nail or screw is in the central tread and the hole is under 6 mm, a proper repair is usually possible and saves you buying a tyre.
- Van tyres: for the many vans running between Coalville's business parks, the M1 and the A42.
- Breakdown recovery: used when a car can't be fixed safely where it has stopped, for example with a damaged wheel near a busy junction.
Whitwick, Ibstock and the Villages Around Coalville
We cover the town centre and its surrounding communities, including Whitwick, Thringstone, Hugglescote, Ravenstone and Ibstock, as well as nearby villages such as Thornton, Bagworth and Heather. Main roads we attend include the A511, the A50 and the M1 around junction 22.
Our fitters also look after drivers in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Loughborough, Leicester and Burton upon Trent.
The 20p Test: A Quick Tread Check at Home
The legal minimum tread depth for a car in the UK is 1.6 mm across the central three-quarters of the tyre, but grip in the wet falls away well before that. A simple way to check is to push a 20p coin into the main grooves. If you can see the outer band of the coin, the tread is getting close to the limit and it's time to plan for new tyres.
Try it in three or four places on each tyre, including the inner edge, which is the part people tend to miss. Uneven wear, such as one shoulder much more worn than the other, can point to the wheel alignment being out. If your tyres are near the limit, book a fitter to come to you before the wetter months arrive rather than waiting for one to fail.
