Tyre Trouble in Haywards Heath, Sorted Where You Are
Haywards Heath sits in the middle of Mid Sussex, with the A272 bypassing the town and heading west to meet the A23 at Bolney. From there it's a straight run north to Crawley and Gatwick or south to Brighton. Locally, journeys tend to link the town centre with Lindfield to the north, Cuckfield to the west and the newer homes of Bolnore Village on the south-west side.
We offer a fully mobile tyre service across all of these. Instead of booking into a workshop, you tell us where the car is, and a fitter comes to you with the tyre. Calls are taken 24 hours a day, every day, and we aim to arrive within 60 minutes in most cases, depending on traffic and how far out you are. That applies just as much to a quiet lane outside Cuckfield as to a street near the station.
Many households here rely on the car for the station run, school and shopping, so a flat at the wrong moment can throw the whole day out. Having the work done at home, or in the car park where you've left it, keeps disruption to a minimum. If the tyre isn't urgent, we can schedule a visit when it suits you.
The Benefits of a Fitter Who Comes to You
Driving any distance on a flat tyre damages it beyond repair, and can harm the wheel as well. A mobile visit avoids that risk entirely, since the car stays put until the work is complete.
- Jobs go to the closest available fitter in our network of more than 100 across England and Wales.
- Balancing and old-tyre disposal are included free with every fitting.
- New tyres come with the manufacturer's guarantee.
- Pay by card, cash or bank transfer, with no hidden charges.
What We Offer Haywards Heath Motorists
- Mobile tyre fitting: premium, mid-range or budget tyres fitted at your home in Franklands Village or Lindfield, or wherever is convenient.
- Puncture repair: we repair punctures that meet British Standard guidelines and replace the tyre when a repair would compromise safety.
- Van tyres: tyres for vans and light commercials fitted on location, helping local businesses keep moving.
- Breakdown recovery: for cars that can't be repaired safely where they are, such as after a blowout on the A23.
Lindfield, Cuckfield and Nearby Towns
We cover Haywards Heath itself, Bolnore Village and Franklands Village, along with Lindfield and Cuckfield. Drivers on the A272 and around Bolney, where it crosses the A23, can call us too.
The service extends to Burgess Hill just to the south, Crawley up the A23 and Brighton at the other end of it.
Low Mileage? Check the Age of Your Tyres
If your car mostly does short local trips, the tread may last for years, and it's tempting to assume the tyres are fine. But rubber ages whether or not it's used. Over time it hardens, loses grip and can develop fine cracks in the sidewall or between the tread blocks.
Every tyre has a four-digit date code on the sidewall, usually after the letters DOT. The first two digits are the week and the last two the year of manufacture, so 2319 means the 23rd week of 2019. Look at the code on each tyre, including any spare that has sat untouched in the boot for years, and if a tyre is getting on in years or shows cracking, have it looked at. Many manufacturers advise inspection once a tyre reaches five years old.
