Your Mobile Tyre Fitter in Hove
Hove runs west from Brighton along the Kingsway, and inland its streets climb towards Hangleton, West Blatchington and the A27. The Old Shoreham Road (A270) cuts across the town east to west, Church Road and Portland Road carry much of the local traffic, and Portslade sits on the western side. Most people here drive short distances, park on the street, and only head onto the bypass for longer trips.
Whichever part of town you are in, if a tyre goes flat we can come to you. A fitter turns up with a replacement or the kit to repair it, and the car never has to move. Our line is staffed around the clock, every day, and we aim to arrive within an hour for most call-outs, depending on traffic and distance.
Street parking is where many of our Hove jobs happen. A car left overnight in a residents' bay can be sitting on its rim by the morning, and moving it even a few metres risks ruining the tyre and scraping the wheel. Our fitters are used to working in a tight space beside the kerb, so as long as there is safe access to the affected wheel, the job can usually be done exactly where you parked. If it can't, we'll say so before anything starts.
The Hove Call-Out, From First Call to Driving Away
Phone or message us with where the car is. We pass the job to the closest of our fitters (there are more than 100 working across England and Wales), and they come straight to you. Once there, they will:
- check whether the puncture can be repaired safely or the tyre needs replacing;
- fit and balance the tyre, with balancing included free;
- take away the old tyre at no charge;
- leave you with the manufacturer's guarantee on any new tyre.
Payment can be made by card, bank transfer or cash, and there are no hidden fees on top.
Tyre Help Available Across Hove
- Mobile tyre fitting: new tyres in every price band, fitted on a residential street in Aldrington or outside your office.
- Puncture repair: a straightforward plug-and-patch repair when the damage is small and well inside the tread area.
- Van tyres: for vans running between Portslade, central Hove and the rest of the city, so a puncture doesn't wipe out a round of jobs.
- Breakdown recovery: when a tyre change is not enough or the vehicle cannot be worked on where it has stopped.
Aldrington, Portslade, Hangleton and Nearby
We cover central Hove and the seafront, Aldrington between Hove and Portslade, Hangleton and West Blatchington to the north, and all three parts of Portslade: Portslade-by-Sea, Portslade Village and Mile Oak. The Kingsway, the Old Shoreham Road and the A27 are all part of our area.
Next door, we also serve Brighton, and along the coast Worthing. Heading up the A23, drivers in Crawley can call us too.
Run-Flat Tyres and the Pressure Warning Light
Plenty of newer cars come with run-flat tyres and no spare wheel at all. A run-flat lets you keep driving after a puncture, but only at reduced speed and for a limited distance, usually set out in the handbook. Because the tyre keeps its shape, the first you may know about a puncture is the tyre pressure warning on the dashboard.
If that light comes on, slow down, stop somewhere safe and check all four tyres rather than carrying on. Do not assume it is a sensor fault. Run-flats are often a specific type that should be replaced like for like, so tell us when you call that your car has them, and the fitter can bring the right tyre first time.
