Mobile Tyre Fitting for East Grinstead
East Grinstead is a town where many people drive out each day, towards Gatwick, the motorway or London. The A22 is the main artery, running north to Felbridge, where it shares the road with the A264, and south through Forest Row to the edge of Ashdown Forest. The A264 carries traffic west towards Crawley. Away from those roads there are estates such as Imberhorne and plenty of quieter residential streets.
When a tyre fails, we send a fitter to you rather than asking you to get the car to a workshop. They arrive with the tyre already in the van, carry out the work where you've stopped, and take the old one away. We operate around the clock, and our aim is to reach you within 60 minutes in most cases, with the usual caveat that traffic and location play a part.
Because so many residents travel to Gatwick or London each day, timing matters. A flat at six in the morning can wreck a flight or a meeting, so tell us when you need to leave and we'll do what we can to work around it. For planned work, we can book a time that fits round your week.
Here's How It Works
- Contact us by phone, WhatsApp or the form. Say what's happened, where the car is, and the tyre size if you can read it.
- We find a fitter close to East Grinstead. With over 100 fitters across England and Wales, we can usually send someone who isn't far away.
- The fitter repairs or replaces the tyre. They'll repair it if the damage allows; if not, a new tyre is fitted, balanced free of charge and covered by the manufacturer's guarantee.
- You pay when it's done. Card, cash or bank transfer are all accepted, and there are no hidden fees.

- Mobile tyre fitting: tyres to fit any budget, put on at home, at work or in a station car park so you can get on with your commute.
- Puncture repair: small punctures in the centre of the tread are usually repairable. We'll check before recommending anything more.
- Van tyres: tyres for vans and light commercial vehicles fitted on site, whether you're working in town or out towards Lingfield.
- Breakdown recovery: when a damaged wheel or an unsafe location means the car needs to be moved before any work can start.
Felbridge, Forest Row and Beyond
We cover East Grinstead's estates including Imberhorne, plus nearby villages: Felbridge to the north-west, Ashurst Wood just south-east of town, Forest Row on the A22, and Dormansland and Lingfield over the border in Surrey.
Our fitters also serve Crawley to the west, Haywards Heath to the south-west and Crowborough on the far side of Ashdown Forest.
Wet-Weather Grip Through the Forest
South of town the A22 passes through Forest Row and on towards Ashdown Forest, and in autumn and winter that kind of road can be wet, covered in leaves and slow to dry out under the trees. This is where tread depth matters most. A tyre with plenty of tread pushes water out of the way; a worn one can ride up on a film of water and lose grip.
Before the darker months, check that all four tyres have a healthy amount of tread, well above the 1.6 mm legal minimum, and that pressures match the handbook. If the car feels light in the steering through standing water, ease off the accelerator gently rather than braking hard. And if your tyres are getting low, replace them in pairs on the same axle so the car stays balanced.
Getting a Fitter Out in East Grinstead
Our line, 07989 606060, is staffed 24/7. If it's easier, send a WhatsApp or complete the contact form. Before you call, look for the tyre size on the sidewall and have your registration ready. If you're out on the A22, a nearby village name or landmark you can see helps us find you.
