Mobile Tyre Help on the Edge of Norfolk
Getting in and out of Great Yarmouth by car means one of two roads. From Norwich you come in on the A47, and the last stretch from Acle is the long, exposed Acle Straight. From the south the road up from Lowestoft carries the A47 number too, since it was re-designated from the A12 in 2017. Both are busy, and both are places where a tyre can let go with very little warning.
Our mobile fitters come to wherever the car is: a seafront side street, the supermarket car park, the drive at home in Bradwell or a lay-by on the way back from the city. We work 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and in most cases aim to be with you inside an hour, depending on location and traffic.
From Phone Call to Fitted Tyre
- Ring or message us. Say where you are, roughly what happened, and read us the size off the tyre wall if you can get to it safely.
- We match you with a fitter. We have more than 100 mobile fitters across England and Wales, and the call goes to one who can reach the Yarmouth area quickly.
- The job gets done on site. The fitter repairs the puncture if it's safe to, or fits a replacement tyre. Wheel balancing is included, and so is getting rid of the old tyre.
New tyres come with the manufacturer's guarantee. You settle up afterwards by card, cash or bank transfer, and the price you're quoted is the price you pay.
Services Around Yarmouth and Gorleston
- Mobile tyre fitting for cars of every size, with premium, mid-range and budget options so you can pick what suits the car and the mileage you do.
- Puncture repair when a screw or nail has gone into the middle of the tread. Damage near the shoulder or in the sidewall can't be repaired safely, so we'd replace that tyre instead.
- Van and light commercial tyres for anyone running work vehicles round the port, the industrial estates and the enterprise zone at Beacon Park.
- Breakdown recovery if the car needs moving rather than fixing, for instance with a damaged wheel or after a blowout at speed.
Gorleston, Bradwell, Caister and Beyond
As well as the town centre and Southtown, we cover Gorleston-on-Sea, the large residential area of Bradwell on the western side, and Caister-on-Sea a little way up the coast. South towards the county boundary, Hopton-on-Sea is in our patch, and so is Runham on the Norwich side.
Inland, the A47 takes our fitters through to Norwich, while southwards the same road number leads to Lowestoft, both of which we cover as well.
In summer the town fills with visitors, and some of our calls come from people whose holiday has been interrupted by a flat in a guest house car park. Wherever you're staying, the service is the same, and you don't need to know the area to get help.
Staying Safe With a Flat on the Acle Straight
The Acle Straight is a fast single carriageway with no hard shoulder, and it has a long record of serious crashes. If a tyre goes there, your first job is getting yourself out of harm's way, not looking at the wheel.
- Put the hazard lights on and ease the car as far off the carriageway as you safely can.
- Get everyone out on the side away from traffic and wait well back from the road.
- Don't try to jack the car up beside passing lorries; a spare isn't worth the risk.
- If the car is stuck in a dangerous spot, call 999 first, then ring us.
Once you're safe, give us the nearest landmark or what3words location and we'll take it from there.
