Ipswich Mobile Tyre Fitting, Day or Night
For Ipswich drivers, the A14 is hard to avoid. It loops around the south of the town over the Orwell Bridge, carries lorries to and from Felixstowe, and meets the A12 on the eastern edge near Martlesham. Closer in, the town centre has a one-way system, the waterfront has tight streets, and the residential areas towards Rushmere and Whitton have their fair share of on-street parking.
A tyre can let you down in any of those places, and we can reach all of them. One of our mobile fitters travels to your car with a replacement tyre and the kit to fit and balance it, so you do not have to find a garage or wait for a recovery truck. We are on call 24/7 and aim to be with you within an hour in most cases, depending on traffic, roadworks and where in Suffolk you are.
What Happens After You Ring
- We take a few details. Where the car is, what the problem looks like, and the tyre size if you can read it off the sidewall.
- The nearest fitter sets off. Our network of over 100 mobile fitters across England and Wales means the job goes to someone already working in the area.
- The fix happens on the spot. A safe repair if possible, otherwise a new tyre. Balancing and disposal of your old tyre are free.
- You pay and carry on. Cash, card or bank transfer, no hidden fees, and new tyres backed by the manufacturer's guarantee.
What Our Ipswich Fitters Can Do
- Mobile tyre fitting: tyres in premium, mid-range and budget brands fitted outside your home in Chantry, Pinewood or Kesgrave.
- Puncture repair: a small puncture in the main part of the tread is repaired rather than replaced whenever it is safe.
- Van tyres: for couriers, port traffic and trade vans using the A14 corridor and the business parks on the east side of the town.
- Breakdown recovery: when a wheel is damaged or you have stopped somewhere exposed, such as a busy stretch of dual carriageway.
Across Ipswich and East Suffolk
We cover the town centre and waterfront, Chantry, Pinewood, Stoke Park, Gainsborough, Whitton, Westerfield, Castle Hill and Rushmere St Andrew, as well as Kesgrave, Martlesham, Bramford and Claydon. Main roads include the A14, A12, A140, A137 and A1214.
Our fitters also travel out to Woodbridge, Felixstowe, Stowmarket, Needham Market and Hadleigh. Further along the A14 we cover Cambridge too.
When the Orwell Bridge is shut in high winds, A14 traffic is diverted through the town and journeys slow right down. We still come out on those days, but it helps to give us an exact location and allow a little longer for the fitter to get through.
Tip: Know What You Have Instead of a Spare
A lot of cars on Ipswich driveways no longer carry a full-size spare. Some have a thin space-saver, some have run-flat tyres, and many just have a can of sealant and a small compressor under the boot floor. It is worth finding out which you have before you need it, ideally before a trip to the coast or a night drive on the A14.
- Space-saver: only for short distances at reduced speed (usually 50mph), and worth checking its pressure every few months.
- Sealant kit: fine for getting off a dangerous road, but it can make a proper repair harder, so tell the fitter if you have used it.
- Neither: do not try to drive on a flat. Stop somewhere safe and call us.
