Tyre Fitting for Dartford Drivers, Wherever You've Stopped
Living in Dartford means living next to one of the busiest stretches of road in the country. The M25 meets the A2 at junction 2, then the A282 carries the orbital traffic up to the Dartford Crossing, with junctions 1a and 1b dropping cars onto the A206 and A226 into town. Even a short run to the shops or the station can involve queuing traffic, stop-start roundabouts and a lot of heavy goods vehicles.
When a tyre goes in the middle of all that, you want help to come to you. Our mobile fitters bring the tyre, the jack and the balancing equipment to your drive, your workplace or a safe roadside spot, and fit it there. We operate every hour of every day and aim to reach you within 60 minutes in most cases, though the traffic around the Crossing can move that figure either way.
How It Works When You Ring Us From Dartford
- Give us the details. Your location, the car's registration and the tyre size, which you'll find printed on the side of the tyre as something like 205/55 R16.
- We dispatch a fitter close to north-west Kent. Our network has over 100 mobile fitters spread across England and Wales, each with years of hands-on tyre work.
- Repair or replacement happens on the spot. The new tyre is balanced free of charge, your old one is disposed of for free, and the manufacturer's guarantee covers the replacement.
When the job is complete you can pay by card, in cash or by bank transfer, with no hidden fees.
Services on Offer Around Dartford
- Mobile tyre fitting: premium, mid-range or budget tyres fitted at home in Wilmington, on a new-build street in Stone or at a business park near the river.
- Puncture repair: debris from lorries and building sites ends up on local roads; if the hole is in a repairable part of the tread, we'll mend it instead of replacing the tyre.
- Van tyres: plenty of logistics and trade vans are based around Dartford, and we fit their tyres where they're parked to keep them working.
- Breakdown recovery: for a car that can't be repaired at the roadside or has stopped somewhere too dangerous to work on.
Dartford Areas, Nearby Towns and Main Roads
Our fitters cover the town centre and the communities around it: Wilmington, Stone, Greenhithe, Swanscombe and Crayford. On the roads, that includes the A2, the A206, the A226, the A282 approach to the Crossing and the M25 junctions at 1a, 1b and 2.
Over the border into London we also cover Bexleyheath and Greenwich, and north of the Thames you'll find our page for Romford.
If a Tyre Fails on the Crossing Itself
The tunnels and the QEII Bridge are a special case. There's no safe place to change a wheel on either, and nobody, including us, should try. The Crossing has its own control room watching the traffic, and recovery teams on site.
- Switch your hazard lights on straight away so the control room can spot you, and turn the engine off.
- If you can't get out without walking into live traffic, stay in the vehicle with your seatbelt on and follow any instructions from the control room.
- The on-site team will move you to a safe place, free of charge, from where you can arrange the next step.
Once you're off the Crossing and somewhere safe, give us a call and we'll send a fitter to that spot. Before a long trip through the tunnels, it's also worth a quick look at your tyres for bulges, cuts or low pressure, since queuing traffic is the worst place to discover a problem.
