A Mobile Tyre Service Built Around Basingstoke Roads
Few towns put as many roundabouts between you and your destination as Basingstoke. Most trips involve a lap of the Ringway, a run along the A339 or A33, and often a dash out to the M3 at junction 6 or 7 for work. It is a town designed around the car, which is handy until one of your tyres goes soft on a dual carriageway with nowhere obvious to stop.
That is where we come in. Our fitters are mobile, so they come to you rather than the other way round: at home in Chineham, at a desk on one of the business parks, or at the side of the road once you have pulled over somewhere safe. The service runs around the clock, every day of the year, and we aim to be with you within 60 minutes in most cases, traffic permitting.
From Phone Call to Fitted Tyre
- Ring or message us with the details. Where the car is, what has happened, and the tyre size from the sidewall if you can see it.
- We pass it to whoever is nearest. Our network covers England and Wales with over 100 mobile fitters, so someone local to north Hampshire picks the job up.
- The fitter repairs or replaces the tyre where you are. Balancing the wheel and taking the old tyre away cost nothing extra.
- You pay once you are happy. Card, cash or bank transfer, with prices that are competitive and free of hidden extras.
Tyre Services Across Basingstoke
- Mobile tyre fitting: budget, mid-range or premium tyres, all carrying the manufacturer's guarantee, fitted on a driveway in Hatch Warren or a staff car park off the Ringway.
- Puncture repair: we follow British Standard guidance, so a small hole in the central tread gets repaired and anything outside that gets a new tyre on the spot.
- Van tyres: light commercial tyres for the distribution and trade vans that run in and out of the town's industrial estates every day.
- Breakdown recovery: if a blowout on the M3 has damaged more than just the tyre, we can arrange to move the vehicle.
Where Our Basingstoke Fitters Go
Inside the town that means Chineham, Popley, Brighton Hill, Hatch Warren, Kempshott and Winklebury, plus the town centre within the Ringway. Just outside it, we cover Old Basing, Oakley, Sherborne St John and Sherfield on Loddon. On the road network, fitters attend the A33, A339 and A30 as well as the M3 between junctions 6 and 7.
Heading north or east, we also have fitters around Reading, Bracknell, Camberley and Aldershot.
All Those Roundabouts Are Wearing Your Front Tyres
Driving round a roundabout puts sideways load on the tyres, mostly the front pair, which also do the steering and most of the braking. Do that a dozen times on the way to work and back, five days a week, and the outer edges of the front tyres can wear down well before the centre does.
Once a month, turn the steering to full lock and look along the front tread. If the shoulders look noticeably more worn than the middle, or you can see the tread wear indicators close to the surface, it is time to act. Swapping front and rear tyres at a service (where your car allows it) helps spread the wear, and correct pressures stop the shoulders from scrubbing. Uneven wear can also point to tracking that is out, often after clipping a kerb on a tight exit, so get the alignment looked at if the pattern is lopsided.
