Andover Tyre Fitting, Wherever the Car Has Stopped
Andover lies right beside the A303 at the eastern end of Salisbury Plain, so a good share of the cars here spend their week on a fast trunk road, heading east towards Basingstoke and London or west towards the South West. Closer to home, the town has spread outwards over the last two decades, with new estates such as Augusta Park, Picket Twenty and Saxon Fields joining older neighbourhoods.
That means tyre trouble can turn up on a dual carriageway at speed or on a quiet cul-de-sac on a Sunday morning. In both cases the fix is the same: we send a fitter with a van full of kit, and the tyre is dealt with where the car is standing. You don't need to find a garage that's open or arrange a tow for a simple flat.
The service runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and in most cases we aim to have someone with you inside 60 minutes, traffic and distance permitting.
How an Andover Call-Out Goes
- Get in touch. Phone, WhatsApp or the web form. Let us know which estate or road you're on and what the tyre looks like.
- We match you with a fitter. Our network of more than 100 experienced mobile fitters covers England and Wales, so the job goes to someone within reach of Andover.
- The fitter does the work on site. That includes balancing the wheel and removing the old tyre, both free of charge.
- Payment when you're happy. Card, cash or bank transfer. Prices depend on tyre size, brand, time and location, and there are no hidden fees on top.
Tyre Work We Carry Out in Andover
- Mobile tyre fitting: premium, mid-range or budget tyres, each carrying the manufacturer's guarantee, fitted on your drive in Charlton or in a lay-by off the A303.
- Puncture repair: if the hole is in the centre of the tread and no larger than British Standard guidance allows, we repair it. Otherwise a replacement goes on straight away.
- Van tyres: light commercials and vans based around the town get a fitter who comes to the yard or the job, not the other way round.
- Breakdown recovery: for a buckled wheel or a car that cannot be worked on where it has stopped.
Estates, Villages and Roads Around Andover
Our fitters cover the town centre and the newer estates, including Augusta Park, Picket Twenty, Picket Piece and Saxon Fields, together with Charlton on the north-west side. Villages just south of the town, such as Upper Clatford, Anna Valley and Goodworth Clatford, are covered too. On the roads, we work the A303 and Western Avenue (the A3057).
Further afield, we reach Basingstoke along the A303, Winchester to the south-east and Romsey further south.
Loaded for a Long Trip? Adjust the Pressures
The A303 is the obvious road for holidays in the West Country, and a car packed with luggage, bikes and passengers behaves very differently from one carrying just the driver. Extra weight squashes the tyres, which run hotter over a long stretch at speed. Hot, under-inflated tyres wear unevenly and are more likely to fail.
Most cars list two sets of pressures, one for normal driving and a higher one for full loads. You'll find them on a sticker inside the driver's door frame, in the fuel filler flap or in the handbook. Set the higher figure before you load up, with the tyres cold, and drop back to normal when you get home. If you are towing a caravan or trailer, check its tyres as well, since they often sit unused for months and lose pressure or develop cracks.
