A Fitter Who Comes to You in Richmond upon Thames
Getting around Richmond usually involves the A316 towards Twickenham and the M3, the South Circular through Kew and East Sheen, or the A307 along the river towards Kingston. Off those roads, much of the borough is narrow residential streets with controlled parking, where finding a space is hard enough without a flat tyre to deal with.
That is where a mobile fitter makes sense. Instead of driving a damaged tyre across the bridge to a workshop, you call us and a fitter brings the tyre and equipment to wherever the car is, whether that is outside your home on Richmond Hill, in a car park near the station or on a side road in St Margarets. We answer around the clock, every day, and we aim to reach you within 60 minutes in most cases, depending on traffic on the bridges and the A316.
What You Can Count On With Each Visit
Whether it is a puncture on a weekday morning or a shredded tyre late on a Sunday, the arrangement is the same:
- A fitter from the area. Jobs are passed to the nearest available member of our network, which is made up of more than 100 mobile fitters across England and Wales.
- Repair first where it's safe. If the damage is small and sits within the central part of the tread, the fitter repairs it. If not, a replacement goes on there and then.
- No charge for balancing or disposal. New tyres are balanced on site and the old ones leave with the fitter.
- Honest pricing. You hear the cost before work starts, with no hidden fees, and can pay by card, cash or bank transfer. Each new tyre carries the manufacturer's guarantee.
Services We Bring to Richmond Driveways and Kerbs
- Mobile tyre fitting: premium, mid-range or budget tyres fitted on your street or at work, so you keep your parking space and your day goes on as planned.
- Puncture repair: a screw picked up near a building site in Twickenham or a nail on the South Circular can often be fixed right where the car is parked, with no trip to a workshop.
- Van tyres: for builders, gardeners and delivery drivers working the residential roads of Kew, Barnes and Teddington.
- Breakdown recovery: for a car with a damaged wheel, or one stuck on a busy stretch of the A316 where roadside work wouldn't be safe.
Kew to Ham and Across the River
We cover Richmond town centre and Richmond Hill, Kew, Petersham, Ham, East Sheen, Mortlake, Barnes, Twickenham, St Margarets and Teddington, and the roads around Richmond Park. Fitters regularly work along the A316, the A205 South Circular, the A307 and the A305.
Just over the borough boundaries we reach Kingston, Putney and Chiswick, and there are dedicated pages for Isleworth, Hounslow and Ealing.
Electric and Hybrid Cars Are Harder on Tyres
Electric and plug-in hybrid cars are a common sight on Richmond streets, and they treat tyres differently. The batteries make them heavier than a similar petrol car, and the instant pulling power of an electric motor scrubs the tread when you pull away briskly from lights. The result is often faster wear, especially on the driven wheels.
Two things help. First, when it is time for new tyres, make sure they have at least the load rating shown in your handbook; many manufacturers fit tyres marked XL or HL for the extra weight, and a lower-rated replacement is not a like-for-like swap. Second, go gently on the accelerator from a standstill and check the tread on the driven axle more often than you would on a conventional car. Some EVs also come with foam-lined or sealant tyres, so mention this when you call so the fitter can plan the repair or replacement.
