Tyres Sorted Around Poole Harbour and Beyond
Getting around Poole usually means one of a handful of roads. The A35 carries you out along Upton Road towards Creekmoor and Broadstone, the A3049 takes you across the top of the conurbation without going near either town centre, and the A338 links you through to Bournemouth. Add the steady traffic down to the harbour and out to Sandbanks in summer, and there are plenty of places for a tyre to let you down.
When it happens, you don't have to limp to a workshop. Ring us, and a mobile fitter drives out with a replacement tyre and the kit to fit it, whether your car is on a drive in Oakdale, outside a flat in Lower Parkstone or in a car park near the quay. We work around the clock, and we aim to get to you within 60 minutes in most cases, depending on traffic and where in Poole you are.
Why Poole Drivers Call a Fitter Out
Most people who phone us simply want the car fixed without losing half a day. A few of the reasons we hear most often:
- The spare is a space saver, or there isn't one. Plenty of newer cars come with an inflation kit instead, which won't help with a torn sidewall.
- The car is somewhere awkward. A beach car park, a works yard on the Fleetsbridge side or a narrow residential road; if the fitter can reach the wheel safely, the job is done there.
- Nothing extra on the bill. Balancing the wheel and disposing of the old tyre come free with every fitting, and prices carry no hidden fees.
Our network has more than 100 mobile fitters across England and Wales, so the nearest one to you takes the job. You can settle up by card, cash or bank transfer once the tyre is on.
What Our Fitters Can Do in Poole
- Mobile tyre fitting: choose budget, mid-range or premium tyres and have them fitted at home in Canford Heath, at work, or wherever the car is parked. New tyres come with the manufacturer's guarantee.
- Puncture repair: a nail picked up on the A35 can often be plugged properly, provided it sits in the central part of the tread and the hole is under 6 mm. If it can't be repaired safely, we fit a new tyre there and then.
- Van tyres: for builders, marine trades and couriers who keep Poole moving and can't afford a van off the road.
- Breakdown recovery: when the wheel or suspension has taken damage too, or the car is stuck somewhere it can't stay.
From Hamworthy to Broadstone: Areas We Reach
We cover all of Poole: the town centre and the quay, Upper and Lower Parkstone, Ashley Cross, Hamworthy, Sandbanks, Canford Heath, Creekmoor, Oakdale, Waterloo and Fleetsbridge, plus Broadstone on the road towards Wimborne. Fitters also work along the A35, A3049, A349 and A350 that thread through the area.
Heading east, we're just as busy in Bournemouth and Christchurch, and further west we cover Dorchester too.
Towing a Boat or Caravan? Set Your Pressures for the Load
With a harbour on the doorstep, a lot of Poole cars spend their weekends pulling a boat trailer, a caravan or a roof box full of kit. The extra weight squashes the tyres, especially at the back, and a tyre run soft under load builds up heat and wears fast on its outer edges.
Most cars list two sets of pressures inside the driver's door or in the handbook: one for normal driving and a higher one for a full load. Switch to the laden figure before you hitch up, check the tyres cold, and drop back afterwards. While you're down there, look for bulges or cuts from slipway edges and kerbs. A bulge means the tyre's internal structure is damaged, so it needs replacing rather than another trip to the water.
Booking a Tyre Fitter in Poole
Phone 07989 606060 at any hour, or drop us a WhatsApp message or use the contact form if that's easier. It helps to have three things to hand: where the car is, its registration, and the tyre size from the sidewall.
