Help at the End of the Line
Penzance is the most westerly major town in England, looking out over Mount's Bay. The A30 stays a trunk road as far as the Chy-an-Mor roundabout, about a mile east of town, then bypasses Penzance to the north and carries on as a quieter rural road towards Land's End. Everything beyond is a long way from anywhere, and that matters when a tyre goes.
You won't need to arrange a tow to the nearest workshop. One of our mobile fitters comes out to you instead, with the tyre on board and everything needed to fit it. We'll meet you on the seafront, in Newlyn, at the edge of a village or on the A30 itself. Our service runs around the clock, every day, and in most cases we aim to get to you within 60 minutes, though the further west you are, the longer it can take.
Why Drivers This Far West Call Us
Out here, the alternative to a mobile fitter is often a long drive on a damaged tyre, or a wait for a lift. With us, the work happens where the car is, and you can get on with your day sooner.
- We dispatch the closest fitter from a network of over 100 across England and Wales.
- Wheel balancing and old tyre disposal are included free with every fitting.
- Each new tyre is covered by the manufacturer's guarantee.
- You'll pay a competitive price with no hidden fees, by cash, card or bank transfer.
Costs depend on tyre size, brand, the time of day and how far the fitter has to travel, and we'll explain them before any work starts.
Tyre Services From Newlyn to Long Rock
Mobile tyre fitting is the service most people book: new tyres for your car, chosen from budget, mid-range and premium ranges, fitted on your drive or at the roadside.
Where the damage allows, we offer puncture repair. A small puncture in the central three-quarters of the tread, under 6 mm across, can usually be repaired. A cut in the sidewall or a tyre that has been driven flat cannot, so we'll fit a new one there and then.
Our van tyre service suits anyone running a van around the harbours and the farms of the far west. And if the wheel is damaged, or the car is somewhere it can't be worked on, we can organise breakdown recovery.
Penzance, Mount's Bay and Beyond
We cover all of Penzance, including Heamoor and Gulval, the fishing port of Newlyn, Mousehole and Paul. Around the bay we reach Long Rock and Marazion, and we cover the A30 east of town and the road west towards Land's End.
Going up the A30, our fitters cover Camborne and then Truro, and we also serve Falmouth on the south coast.
Check the Age of Low-Mileage Tyres
Cars that only make short trips, or that sit on a drive for most of the week, can still have plenty of tread left when the tyres themselves are getting old. Rubber hardens and cracks with age, sun and salty sea air, and old tyres grip less in the wet even if they look fine.
Look for a four-digit code on the sidewall, usually after the letters DOT. The first two digits are the week and the last two the year it was made, so 2318 means week 23 of 2018. If the tyres are getting on in years, look closely for fine cracks between the tread blocks and around the sidewall, and replace any tyre showing them. Don't forget the spare, if you have one.
