Tyre Fitting Brought to Your Door in Camborne
Camborne is part of a string of former mining communities in west Cornwall that runs east to Redruth. The A3047 links them along the old turnpike route through Roskear, Tuckingmill, Pool and Illogan Highway, while the A30 bypasses the lot to the north. Most local journeys use one or the other, and residential streets with cars parked nose to tail fill the gaps.
If you get a flat on any of them, we bring the fix to you. A mobile fitter turns up with the tyre you need and fits it on the spot, whether you're at home in Beacon, at work on a trading estate or stuck on the A30 slip road. Help is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and we aim to be with you within an hour in most cases, depending on traffic.
What the Call-Out Involves
- You get in touch and tell us where you are, what's happened and, ideally, the tyre size from the sidewall.
- We contact the nearest of our 100+ fitters across England and Wales and give you an idea of when to expect them.
- The fitter repairs the puncture if it's safe to, or fits a new tyre, balances the wheel and takes the old tyre away. Balancing and disposal are free.
- You pay by card, cash or bank transfer. Prices are competitive, with no hidden fees, and new tyres carry the manufacturer's guarantee.

- Breakdown recovery when the car can't be safely fixed or left where it is.
Our Coverage in West Cornwall
Every part of Camborne is covered, along with Roskear, Tuckingmill, Pool, Illogan, Beacon and Troon, and Redruth at the eastern end of the A3047. We regularly attend call-outs on the A30 where it bypasses the towns.
Further afield, our fitters reach Truro to the east and Penzance to the west, and we cover the run south to Falmouth.
The A3047 is lined with houses, shops and junctions for much of its length, so a flat here usually means stopping in a side street or a car park rather than on the main road. Pull off where you can, and tell us the nearest turning or landmark when you call. On the A30, get onto the verge or into a lay-by, switch on your hazard lights and wait behind the barrier if there is one.
Do You Know Where Your Locking Wheel Nut Key Is?
Many cars have one locking nut on each wheel to deter theft, and it can only be removed with a matching key, usually a small socket. Without it, any fitter will struggle to get the wheel off, and a simple tyre change can take much longer.
Find the key now, while nothing's wrong. It's often in the glovebox, the boot floor with the jack, or a door pocket. Keep it in the car, not on a shelf at home, and note the code printed on its packaging in case you ever need a replacement. When you ring us about a flat, say whether you've got the key; it helps the fitter prepare.
