Kenton Road and the Streets Either Side
Kenton straddles the boundary between the boroughs of Harrow and Brent, running east from the edge of Harrow town centre. Its spine is Kenton Road, the A4006, a busy east-west route linking Harrow with the Edgware Road, with Kenton station on it and Northwick Park a short walk away. Off it, on both sides, are residential streets where cars spend the night either on a drive or at the kerb outside the house.
Day to day, that means a lot of short trips along Kenton Road, the school run, and drives out towards the Edgware Road and beyond. When a tyre lets you down on any of them, you don't need to get the car to a garage. One of our mobile fitters can come to your home, your workplace or the roadside and replace or repair the tyre there.
We're available 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and we aim to reach you within 60 minutes in most cases, depending on your exact location and the traffic on Kenton Road.
Why Kenton Residents Have the Fitter Come to Them
Driving to a tyre centre on a flat can damage the wheel as well as the tyre, and waiting in a queue eats into your day. With a mobile service, the work comes to you instead:
- We send the nearest available fitter from our network of over 100 across England and Wales.
- Punctures are repaired if the damage is in a safe area of the tread; otherwise we fit a new tyre.
- Balancing is free, and we take away your old tyre for free.
- Every new tyre carries the manufacturer's guarantee.
When the job's done, pay by card, cash or bank transfer. The quote is the price, with no hidden fees added.
Kenton Tyre Services
- Mobile tyre fitting: new tyres on your driveway, with premium, mid-range and budget options to choose from.
- Puncture repair: if a screw or nail has gone into the middle of the tread and the hole is small, a safe repair is usually possible.
- Van tyres: for tradespeople working across north-west London, fitted wherever the van is parked for the job.
- Breakdown recovery: if the wheel is damaged or the car has stopped where it can't safely be worked on.
Where We Cover In and Around Kenton
Our fitters cover all of Kenton, on both the Harrow and Brent sides, including the streets around Kenton station, Northwick Park and South Kenton, and the length of Kenton Road. Kenton sits right next to Harrow, and we cover the town centre there too.
We also work in the neighbouring areas of Kingsbury, Belmont and Preston, and across north-west London in Wembley and Stanmore.
Run-Flat Tyres: How Far You Can Really Go
Plenty of the newer cars on Kenton's driveways, especially larger saloons and SUVs, leave the factory on run-flat tyres. These have stiffened sidewalls that hold the car up after a puncture, so you can keep driving rather than stop at the roadside. Many of these cars carry no spare at all.
Run-flats aren't a licence to ignore a puncture, though. Most manufacturers allow a limited distance, often around 50 miles, at no more than about 50mph; your handbook gives the exact figures. Drive gently straight home or to a safe place and arrange a replacement. Because the tyre has been working without air, it usually can't be repaired afterwards. When you call us, tell us the car has run-flats so the fitter brings the right tyre, as swapping to ordinary tyres changes how the car handles and leaves you without that fallback.
