Mobile Tyre Fitters Working Across Chester
Chester is a walled city on the River Dee, right up against the Welsh border, and its roads pull in several directions at once. The M53 heads north to Ellesmere Port and the Wirral, the M56 runs east towards Manchester, the A55 sets off along the North Wales coast and the A483 goes south to Wrexham. A lot of people living here drive one of those every day, and a lot of visitors arrive on them.
Inside the city, driving is slower: one-way systems, tight residential streets in Hoole and Boughton, and car parks that fill up quickly. A flat in any of those spots is awkward to get to a garage from, which is why we bring the garage to you. A fitter turns up with the tyre, fits it where the car stands and takes the old one away.
We are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and in most cases aim to reach you within 60 minutes, traffic and location allowing. Tourists whose hire car or own car picks up a puncture during a day in the city are welcome to call too; you don't need to live here to use us.
How a Chester Call-Out Runs
You tell us where you are, either by phone or by message, along with the tyre size if you can read it. We then pass the job to the nearest available fitter from a network of more than 100 across England and Wales.
When they arrive, they will check whether the tyre can be repaired or needs replacing and explain why. Either way, you get:
- free wheel balancing on every fitting
- free removal and disposal of the old tyre
- the manufacturer's guarantee on any new tyre
- payment by card, cash or bank transfer, and no hidden fees
Tyre Work We Do in and Around the City
- Mobile tyre fitting: new tyres at every price level fitted at home in Upton or Great Boughton, at work, or in a city car park.
- Puncture repair: if the hole is small and in the centre of the tread, we repair it to British Standard guidance; if not, we replace the tyre there and then.
- Van tyres: for delivery drivers and trades working between Chester and the industrial areas along the M53 and M56.
- Breakdown recovery: for a car stranded on the A55 or a ring road with damage that can't be put right at the roadside.
Hoole, Blacon, Handbridge and Beyond
Our coverage takes in the whole city: Hoole and Newton to the east and north-east, Upton-by-Chester further north, Blacon on the north-west side, Handbridge across the Dee, and Boughton, Great Boughton and Vicars Cross on the eastern approaches. We also reach drivers on the A55, the A483, the M53 and the M56, including around Chester services.
Further out, we cover Ellesmere Port, Birkenhead and Northwich, among other towns in Cheshire and the Wirral.
Heading Along the A55? Set Pressures for the Load
From Chester, the North Wales coast is a short drive away, so a lot of cars set off on the A55 packed with luggage, bikes on the back and a full set of passengers. A tyre inflated for a solo commute is under-inflated for that weight, and it flexes and heats up over a long dual carriageway run.
Most cars list two sets of pressures, one for normal use and a higher one for a full load, usually on a label in the door frame or inside the fuel flap. Set them while the tyres are cold, before you leave, and remember to drop them back afterwards. Check the spare too, if you have one.
