Mobile Tyre Fitting in Somerset's County Town
Taunton's traffic revolves around the M5. Junction 25 feeds the A358 Toneway into the east of town, junction 26 serves Wellington to the south west, and the A38 still carries a lot of local journeys. Add school runs, commutes from the growing estates on the edge of town and summer holiday traffic, and there are plenty of chances to pick up a puncture.
Our fitters come to you, so there is no need to nurse a damaged tyre to a garage. We can attend your home in Holway, the car park at work, or the side of the road near Monkton Heathfield, and we're available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In most cases we aim to arrive within 60 minutes, traffic and location permitting.
Town-centre trips bring their own hazards. Multi-storey ramps, narrow residential streets and tight bays at the supermarket all make it easy to clip a kerb, and a damaged sidewall can't be repaired. As long as the car is somewhere the fitter can work on it safely, a new tyre can usually go on right where you parked.
What a Taunton Call-Out Looks Like
- Get in touch. Tell us your location, the problem and the tyre size if you have it; a photo of the sidewall over WhatsApp works well.
- A fitter is dispatched. We use the nearest available fitter from our 100-plus mobile technicians across England and Wales.
- Repair or replacement where you are. Balancing is free, so is taking away the old tyre, and every new tyre carries the manufacturer's guarantee.
You pay once the work is complete, by card, cash or bank transfer, with no hidden fees.

Taunton Suburbs, Villages and Main Routes
We work right across Taunton, from Staplegrove and Priorswood in the north to Holway, Halcon, Bathpool and Monkton Heathfield in the east, and Bishop's Hull, Comeytrowe, Trull and Wilton to the west and south. Norton Fitzwarren, three miles west, is covered too, along with the M5 between junctions 25 and 26, the A358 and the A38.
Wellington is also within reach, and so are the nearby towns of Bridgwater and Yeovil.
Warning Light Tip: Don't Ignore the Tyre Pressure Symbol
Most newer cars have a tyre pressure monitoring system, and its dashboard symbol looks like a horseshoe with an exclamation mark inside. When it comes on, at least one tyre has lost a meaningful amount of air.
If it lights up suddenly while you're driving, slow down and pull over somewhere safe to look at the tyres. If it comes on gradually over a few days, check all four pressures as soon as you can at a forecourt and top them up to the figures in your handbook. A light that returns soon after inflating usually points to a slow puncture. Some systems also need resetting after you adjust the pressures, so check the handbook for how yours works.
Remember too that many cars no longer carry a spare wheel, only a can of sealant and a small compressor. Sealant can get you a short distance, but it isn't a permanent fix, so tell the fitter if you've used it.
