Roadside Tyre Fitting for Scunthorpe
Scunthorpe grew out of a cluster of old villages, Ashby, Bottesford, Brumby, Crosby, Frodingham and Yaddlethorpe among them, and you can still feel those separate centres as you drive around. The town's industrial side means a lot of shift work and a lot of vans. For longer journeys, the short M181 runs south to meet the M180, which passes about four miles below the town, while the A1077 ring road and the A18 carry most local traffic.
If a tyre lets you down, there's no need to wait for a garage to open or fit you in. One of our mobile fitters comes to you, at home, at work or at the side of the road, and replaces or repairs the tyre there. We aim to reach you within 60 minutes in most cases, depending on location and traffic. Night shifts and weekends are covered the same as weekdays.
Reasons to Choose a Mobile Fitter in North Lincolnshire

- Balancing: free with every fitting.
- Old tyre: taken away and disposed of at no charge.

- Payment: card, cash or bank transfer, with no hidden fees.
Tyre Work We Do Around the Town
- Mobile tyre fitting: premium, mid-range or budget tyres, fitted outside your house in Bottesford or in a works car park.
- Puncture repair: we repair the tyre if the object is in the central three-quarters of the tread and the hole is under 6 mm.
- Van tyres: for contractors and delivery drivers running between Scunthorpe, the M180 and the surrounding villages. Tell us the load rating you need, or read it from the sidewall, and the fitter will bring a tyre that matches it.
- Breakdown recovery: when a wheel is damaged or the car can't be worked on where it has stopped.
Brumby, Crosby, Ashby Ville and Nearby Towns
Our fitters work right across Scunthorpe, including Ashby, Ashby Ville, Bottesford, Yaddlethorpe, Brumby, Crosby and Frodingham. Just outside the town we cover Gunness, Burringham and Messingham. On the road network we cover the M181, the M180, the A1077 ring road, the A18 and the A1029.
Further afield we reach Goole, Gainsborough and Grimsby, with Brigg and the villages between them along the way. If you're not sure whether we come out to your spot, a postcode is enough for us to check.
Found a Screw in the Tread? Leave It Where It Is
Around industrial estates and building sites, nails, screws and scraps of metal end up on the road and in the tread. The natural reaction is to pull the thing out. Don't. While it stays in place it often plugs its own hole, letting the tyre lose air slowly enough for you to get somewhere safe.
Pull it out and the tyre can go flat in minutes. Instead, check the pressure, keep your speed down and call us. If it is in the centre of the tread, a repair is usually possible. If it has gone in near the shoulder, at an angle, or the tyre has been run flat, a new one is the safe option. Run your hand carefully over the tread at each wash, or look closely in good light, as small objects are easy to miss.
