Tyre Fitting in Rugeley, Wherever the Car Is
Rugeley is boxed in by the Trent to the north-east and the high ground of Cannock Chase to the west, and two main roads do most of the work. The A460 climbs through the Chase to Cannock, while the A51 links the town with Lichfield in one direction and Stone in the other. Stafford, Lichfield and Uttoxeter are all within reach, so plenty of local driving is cross-country rather than motorway.
That kind of driving brings its own tyre problems, from a puncture on a wooded road to a soft tyre spotted in the morning on Etching Hill. Wherever it happens, we come to you. One of our mobile fitters arrives with the tyre and the kit and sorts it where the car is parked, at home, at work, or at a safe spot by the road.
Help is available every hour of every day. Most of the time we aim to be with you within 60 minutes, though roads through the Chase and the time of day can affect that.
What a Rugeley Call-Out Involves
- You get in touch by phone, WhatsApp or the contact form, and tell us where you are and what's happened to the tyre.
- We find the closest fitter from a network of over 100 across England and Wales, and let you know roughly when to expect them.
- They assess and fix it. A safe repair where possible, otherwise a new tyre with the manufacturer's guarantee.
- Nothing extra to pay for the basics. Wheel balancing and disposal of the old tyre are included free.
Payment is by cash, card or bank transfer once the work is done, and there are no hidden charges.

Wet Weather Tip: Tread Matters More Than You Think
Roads through wooded country stay damp long after the rain has stopped, and in autumn they collect wet leaves too. Grip on a surface like that depends heavily on how much tread is left to clear the water away, and stopping distances grow as the tread wears down, even while the tyre is still legal.
The legal limit for cars is 1.6 mm, but many drivers choose to replace tyres at around 3 mm for exactly this reason. A quick way to check is the 20p test: put the coin in the main grooves, and if you can see the outer band, the tread is getting low. Do it in a few places on each tyre, as wear isn't always even, and ease off on damp, shaded bends.
