Tyre Trouble in Lichfield, Fixed on Your Doorstep
Lichfield is a small cathedral city with big roads around it. The A38 sweeps past on the way between Birmingham and Burton, the A5127 heads south towards Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham, the A51 crosses towards Tamworth and Rugeley, and the A5 runs just to the south. A little further out, the M6 Toll has junctions for Shenstone and Lichfield and for Burntwood.
So a flat might turn up on a dual carriageway at speed, or just as likely on a quiet road in Leomansley the morning you need to leave. Either way, our mobile fitters come to the car. They carry the tyres and equipment to repair or replace on the spot, at home, at work or wherever it's safe to stop.
We work 24 hours a day, every day, and aim to reach you within 60 minutes in most cases, depending on traffic and where in the area you are.
Why People Across Lichfield Use Us
Mostly, it's about time. Instead of finding a garage with the right tyre in stock and waiting while it's fitted, you make one call and carry on with your day while a fitter heads over. We pass the job to the closest of more than 100 mobile fitters working across England and Wales.
The standard visit includes:
- a check to see whether a safe repair is possible before anything is replaced
- free balancing and free disposal of the tyre that comes off
- the manufacturer's guarantee on new tyres
- payment by card, cash or bank transfer, and no hidden fees
Mobile Tyre Services for the City and Villages
- Mobile tyre fitting: premium, mid-range or budget tyres fitted at your home in the city or out in Fradley, Whittington or Shenstone.
- Puncture repair: small holes in the central tread are repaired to British Standard guidance; anything outside those limits gets a new tyre.
- Van tyres: for trades and delivery drivers who spend their working day on the A38 and the roads off it.
- Breakdown recovery: available if the wheel is damaged or the car has stopped on a fast road with nowhere safe to work.
Lichfield Neighbourhoods and Nearby Places
Our fitters work throughout Lichfield, including Boley Park, Chadsmead, Curborough, Darwin Park, The Dimbles, Leomansley, Stowe, Streethay and the city centre. Beyond them, we cover Fradley, Whittington, Shenstone and Burntwood, along with the A38, A51, A5127, A5 and the M6 Toll.
Neighbouring areas we serve include Tamworth, Burton upon Trent and Rugeley.
The city centre has plenty of narrow streets and tight parking, and that's no obstacle. As long as there's room to get a jack under the car and work safely around the wheel, the fitter can usually do the job right where you left it, so there's no need to drive a flat tyre across town first.
Tyre Wear Tip: Uneven Wear Is a Warning Sign
When you check your tyres, don't just look at how much tread is left. Look at where it's going. Wear on both outer edges usually points to under-inflation. A strip worn down the centre suggests too much pressure. Wear on one edge only, or a saw-tooth feel when you run your hand across the tread, often means the wheel alignment is out, perhaps after a heavy knock on a kerb or pothole.
Uneven wear can take a tyre below the legal 1.6 mm on one side while the rest still looks fine, and it shortens the life of a new tyre too. If you spot it, get the alignment checked, and set pressures to the figures in the handbook or on the door sill, adjusting for a full car if you're loading up.
