Mobile Tyre Fitting in South Shropshire
Ludlow is a market town in the south of Shropshire, a long way from any motorway: Shrewsbury is around 28 miles north and Hereford about 23 miles south, both reached along the A49, which now bypasses the town. The A4117 joins the bypass at the Rocks Green roundabout and heads east through Cleehill. Beyond those, most local driving is on lanes linking farms and villages.
In a place like this, a garage with your tyre in stock may be miles away. Our fitters come to the car instead, bringing the tyre and the tools. You can be at home, in a car park near the town centre, or in a gateway off the A49: the job gets done where you are. We run day and night, every day of the week, and aim to reach you within roughly 60 minutes in most cases. Distance on the rural roads can mean longer, and we'll give you a realistic idea when you call.
Visitors are welcome too. If you've come for the day and find a flat when you get back to the car, there's no need to hunt for a garage in a town you don't know. Tell us where you've parked and we'll come to you.
Why Country Drivers Use a Mobile Fitter
Driving 20 or 30 miles on a space-saver to reach a tyre bay is slow and not much fun. Having a fitter come to Ludlow means:
- no journey on a damaged or temporary tyre;
- a fitter from our 100+ strong network across England and Wales, sent from as close as possible;
- a repair if it's safe, or a new budget, mid-range or premium tyre if not;
- free balancing and free disposal of the old tyre, with the manufacturer's guarantee on new ones;
- payment by bank transfer, card or cash, without hidden fees.
Our Tyre Services Around Ludlow
- Mobile tyre fitting: new tyres fitted on your drive in town or at a farmhouse out in the surrounding countryside.
- Puncture repair: sharp stones and farm debris cause plenty of punctures here, and many can be repaired properly if they're in the central tread.
- Van tyres: for builders, farm suppliers and delivery drivers covering the long distances of south Shropshire, where a van off the road for a day can mean a whole round of customers let down.
- Breakdown recovery: when the wheel is too badly damaged to drive on or the car has stopped somewhere unsafe.
Places We Reach From Ludlow
We cover Ludlow and Ludford, Rocks Green and The Sheet just beyond the bypass, Bromfield to the north, and the A49 and A4117 corridors. Further out, our fitters reach Church Stretton, Cleobury Mortimer, Tenbury Wells and Leominster.
We also work in the larger towns along the A49, Shrewsbury and Hereford, and in Bridgnorth.
After a Pothole: Check the Wheel as Well as the Tyre
Rural lanes take a beating from farm traffic and winter weather, and potholes can be deep and hard to see, especially at night or when they're full of water. Hitting one hard can damage more than the tyre.
Afterwards, look for a bulge or split in the sidewall, and run your eye round the rim for a dent or flat spot. On the drive home, notice whether the steering wheel has started to vibrate, pull to one side or sit off-centre. A buckled rim can leak air slowly even with a perfectly good tyre on it, and a knocked alignment wears tyres unevenly. If anything feels different, get it checked before your next long run up the A49.

Phone 07989 606060 at any hour, or reach us by WhatsApp or the website form. On country roads, the nearest village, a farm name or a junction makes the fitter's job easier, so include that with your registration and tyre size.
