Know Where Your Locking Wheel Nut Key Is
Many cars have one locking nut on each wheel, and it can only be removed with a matching key. It's usually kept in the glovebox, the boot floor or the spare wheel well, but after a valet or a change of owner it often goes missing. Without it, a simple tyre change becomes much harder.
Take a moment now to find yours and put it somewhere you'll remember. When you call us, mention whether you have it. If it has gone missing, tell us before the fitter sets off so they can come prepared, rather than discovering the problem at the roadside. While you're looking, check whether the car has a spare at all, as many newer models only carry an inflation kit.
