Tyres Sorted Wherever Your Car Is in Derby
Driving in Derby usually means some mix of the A38, the A52 Brian Clough Way and the A6, plus a run through the ring road and its roundabouts to get between one side of the city and the other. That is a lot of junctions, slip roads and kerbs, and it is where most of the flat tyres we see here come from. Rather than limping to a garage on a damaged tyre, you can stay put and let a fitter come out to you.
We work right across the city around the clock, every day of the week. In most cases we aim to have someone with you within 60 minutes, although the exact time depends on where you are and how busy the roads are at that hour.
It doesn't matter much whether the car is on a driveway in Oakwood, in a works car park near the A50, or tucked into a side street close to the city centre. If the fitter can get to the wheel safely, the job gets done there.
From Phone Call to Fitted Tyre
The process is short. You ring us, we work out what you need and which fitter is closest, and that fitter drives to you with the right tyre on board. We have more than 100 mobile fitters across England and Wales, so a Derby job is handed to someone nearby instead of a van crossing half the Midlands.
- Balancing included: every new tyre is balanced on the spot at no extra charge.
- Old tyre taken away: disposal of the worn or damaged tyre is free.
- Guarantee: new tyres come with the manufacturer's guarantee.
- Payment: card, cash or bank transfer once the work is finished, with no hidden fees.
What We Can Do for Derby Motorists
- Mobile tyre fitting: budget, mid-range or premium tyres fitted at your home, your workplace or wherever the car has stopped, from Littleover to Spondon.
- Puncture repair: a nail picked up on the ring road can often be plugged properly, provided it sits in the central three-quarters of the tread and the hole is under 6 mm. If it can't be repaired safely, we fit a new tyre there and then.
- Van tyres: light commercial tyres for couriers and trades vans based in the city, fitted at your yard or on the street outside a job.
- Breakdown recovery: if a wheel is bent or the car is stuck somewhere unsafe, such as a narrow stretch of dual carriageway, we can arrange to move it.
Areas of Derby and the Towns Around It
Our fitters cover the city centre and suburbs including Allestree, Darley Abbey, Mickleover, Littleover, Sinfin, Alvaston, Chaddesden, Spondon and Oakwood. We also attend on the A38, A52, A6 and A50, and on the M1 at junctions 24 and 25 to the east.
Beyond the city we reach nearby towns such as Belper up the A6, Long Eaton and Ilkeston towards Nottingham, and Burton upon Trent down the A38.
Know Where Your Locking Wheel Nut Key Is
Plenty of cars come with locking wheel nuts, and the adaptor key that removes them is easy to lose track of. It gets moved during a valet, left in the other car, or buried under the boot floor. Without it, nobody can take the wheel off quickly, and a simple puncture on the A38 becomes a much longer wait.
Take a minute now to find the key and put it somewhere obvious, such as the glovebox or the tray beside the spare or inflation kit. Check it matches the nuts on your car, since second-hand cars sometimes come with the wrong one. When you call us, mention that the car has locking nuts so the fitter knows before arriving.
Book a Derby Tyre Call-Out
Ring 07989 606060 at any hour, or message us on WhatsApp or through the contact form if that suits you better. It helps to have the tyre size from the sidewall, your registration and a postcode or a nearby junction to hand.
