Mobile Tyre Fitting Around Daventry
Daventry sits in west Northamptonshire between two M1 junctions: junction 16 to the south-east and junction 18 to the north-east. The A45 comes in from the direction of Coventry and Rugby, and the A361 runs south to Banbury and north to meet the motorway near Crick. The town expanded fast from the 1960s with new estates and new roads, so plenty of residents drive a short stretch of local road before joining a fast trunk route or the motorway.
If one of your tyres fails, on the estate, at work or out on the A45, a mobile fitter can come straight to you with a replacement and the equipment to fit it. We run all day and all night, every day, and we try to reach the majority of drivers within an hour, although your exact location and the traffic can change that.
Why Daventry Drivers Go Mobile
Nobody wants to drive on a flat to find a garage, or wait around while one fits you in. With a mobile fitter, the work happens wherever the car is. What's included:
- Help from close by. We have over 100 mobile fitters around England and Wales, so the nearest free one is sent.
- Free balancing and tyre disposal. Both come as part of every fitting.
- Manufacturer cover. New tyres carry the manufacturer's guarantee.
- No hidden fees. Pay by card, cash or bank transfer once the job is finished.
Car and Van Tyre Services in Daventry
- Mobile tyre fitting: premium, mid-range or budget tyres for your car, fitted at home on Ashby Fields or Middlemore, or on a work car park.
- Puncture repair: if the damage is under 6mm and in the central tread, a safe repair is usually possible and saves a new tyre.
- Van tyres: with the rail freight terminal near Crick and plenty of distribution work around the M1, vans here do serious mileage. We come to the van rather than taking it off the road.
- Breakdown recovery: when the wheel is damaged or the car has come to a halt somewhere unsafe, such as a fast section of the A45.
Daventry Estates and Neighbouring Areas
Our fitters cover every part of town: Drayton, Middlemore Farm, Lang Farm, Ashby Fields, Royal Oak, Stefen Hill, the Grange, Southbrook, the Headlands and newer Monksmoor Park, along with the town centre. We also cover the A45, the A361 and the routes to M1 junctions 16 and 18, plus villages around the town such as Norton.
From Daventry we also reach Northampton to the east, Towcester to the south-east, Banbury down the A361 and Coventry along the A45.
Run-Flat Tyres: What to Do When the Warning Comes On
Many newer cars, especially premium models, leave the factory on run-flat tyres and have no spare. The idea is that a punctured run-flat can carry on for a limited distance at reduced speed, usually around 50 miles at no more than 50mph, but check your handbook, as figures vary.
When the pressure warning lights up, slow down and stop somewhere safe, rather than pushing on along the motorway. A run-flat can look normal even when it has lost all its air, so the dashboard warning is often the only sign. Driving on it for longer than advised can damage the structure beyond repair. Tell us you have run-flats when you call, so the fitter brings the right type.
Not sure what you have? Run-flats usually carry a marking on the sidewall such as RFT, ROF or a small symbol, and the handbook will say. It is worth knowing before the day you need it.
