Swansea's Roadside Tyre Service
Swansea spreads out in several directions at once: along the bay to Mumbles, up the Swansea Valley through Landore and Morriston, over the hill to Townhill and Mayhill, and west through Uplands, Sketty and Killay. The M4 skirts the north of the city with junctions 44 to 47, while the A483 and A4067 carry traffic down into the centre. That mix of hillside streets, suburban roads and fast dual carriageway means flat tyres turn up in very different places.
Our answer is the same wherever it happens. A mobile fitter drives to you, carrying the tyre and the tools, and does the work on the spot. We operate all day and all night, every day, and aim to be with you within about 60 minutes in most cases, though the exact time depends on your location and the traffic through the city.
It works just as well for planned jobs. If the tread on your front tyres is getting low, book a time and the fitter can change them outside your home in Sketty or in the car park at work while you carry on with your day.
How We Handle a Swansea Call-Out
When you get in touch, we ask where you are, what has happened, and the size of the tyre. We then hand the job to the closest available fitter from our network of more than 100 across England and Wales.
On arrival, the fitter looks at the damage and tells you plainly whether it can be repaired. If it can't, a new tyre goes on there and then. Every fitting includes:
- wheel balancing, free of charge
- removal and disposal of the old tyre, also free
- the manufacturer's guarantee on any new tyre
You pay by card, cash or bank transfer at the end, and the price has no hidden fees.
Our Services in and Around the City
- Mobile tyre fitting with premium, mid-range and budget options, fitted on the street, on your drive or in a multi-storey in the city centre if there is safe room to work.
- Puncture repair for clean, small holes in the main part of the tread, so a single nail picked up near the docks doesn't automatically mean a new tyre.
- Van tyre fitting for traders and delivery drivers working the Swansea Vale, Llansamlet and Fforestfach side of the city.
- Breakdown recovery if the car can't be fixed where it stands or needs moving off a busy road first.
Areas of Swansea and the Surrounding District
We cover the city centre, Uplands, Sketty, Killay, Dunvant, Mumbles, Townhill, Mayhill, Cwmbwrla, Penlan, Treboeth, Fforestfach, Landore, Morriston and Clydach. East of the river we reach St Thomas, Bonymaen, Llansamlet and Birchgrove, and to the north-west Gorseinon, Penllergaer and Pontarddulais.
Main roads include the M4 between junctions 44 and 47, the A483, the A4067 and the A48. Across the Loughor we cover Llanelli, and to the east Neath and Port Talbot.
Hill Streets and Sidewalls: A Swansea Tip
Parking on a steep street, as many people do in Townhill, Mayhill and the hillside terraces, usually means turning your wheels into the kerb so the car can't roll. That is good practice, but it presses the tyre's sidewall against concrete, and pulling away with the wheel still turned can scrape or pinch it.
Every so often, look along the outer face of each tyre for scuffs, cuts or a bulge. A bulge means the internal structure is damaged and the tyre can fail without warning, even if it holds air perfectly. Sidewall damage can't be repaired, so if you spot one, stop using the tyre and call us to replace it rather than risking it on the M4.
